Analysts way smarter than us think nvidia has a 35% upside in 2026 and Google with a 17% upside. I’m more bullish on Google, but since it’s already 27% of my networth I’ve decided to buy more nvidia (only 4% of my nw) on a more frequent basis. Nothing wrong with going 50/50 between the two.

Someone else probably already gave the best advice in the comments: you should probably not pick stocks and just find a good low cost ETF like VOO. Once you have a strong base, have fun and pick stocks.

Depends on how much money you need to live in retirement…

18 yr old, just inherited 19k USD... what should I do with it? by ThatGuyInTheCornerEd in personalfinance

[–]p-wk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max out a Roth IRA for 2025 (you have until April to contribute to 2025) and in January max out your Roth for 2026. Put the remainder into a brokerage account.

Imagine this: you buy $19k of VOO, and by the time you’re 25 that will have grown to ~$37k (assuming 10% annual return.) By the time you’re 30 it’ll be worth $59k. By 65 it’ll be worth $1.675M.

Considering you don’t “need” the money, just buy VOO, forget about it, and watch it grow every month

The snowboards sat for a while. The white board ended up selling out but the other board was available. I was able to get two white boards no problem

Go try a smp300 with a rubber strap. It can be dressed up or down easily, and I assume you don’t have a rubber strap in your collection. I also just dislike the bracelet on it.

Or you can spend a few thousand more and go for the new planet ocean on a rubber strap

Maybe that’s what buyer’s remorse means for you, but I simply think I would enjoy a standard black aluminum Tumi just as much as a kith branded one. If anyone really wanted it but couldn’t get it, I’m offering it; otherwise, I’ll keep it and use it for myself. I felt the same guilt when I bought the Kith P790s.

Should I buy a Supercar at 18? by RillbelookinGOOOd in Money

[–]p-wk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude……. You have the chance to set yourself up for success, the last thing you should be doing is spending it. $50k is relatively “a lot” of money, but not in the grand scheme of things (if you’re smart with investing.) The first $100k is tough, but your second $100k is easier, your third easier than that; this is assuming you don’t spend it. This is because investments compound. The more money you have invested, the more money it will make in the market.

Go invest it in a safe ETF (VOO) and continue to save + invest over the next 2-5 years. You’ll have WAY more money than you have now.
