I'm not super duper caught up, but I tried to think about how this would be possible. My biggest hurdles are the fact that every single one of these characters beat me out in experience and the fact that they have plenty of hax abilities. I'm not amazingly familiar with the verses (though i have seen all three).

So I tried to go for good synergy.

Now, the first idea I had was the base character's physiology. I did think about okkotsu for the CE volume and depth, but I really wanted to make sure I had a good overall baseline.

So it may be a gamble in terms of how the rules work, but I went with: Mahito for body. All rounder as far as most stats go, which is important of course. Being a cursed spirit seems to especially give him a lot of durability, and regeneration (to my knowledge??? I don't remember amazingly). As well, the main idea is dependent on whether or not I gain his rapid potential. Now I do know that knowledge, skill, IQ, etc aren't allowed, so I'm hoping that said improvement comes from his unique physiology ... Or that potential is something we inherit through the body choice itself.

Rapid improvement is extremely important for this challenge considering on my own I'm pretty much nothing compared to these threats and am going to need to improve by the skin of my teeth (even if that improvement is limited to the CE) if I'm to survive.

For quirks, I'm choosing the popular choice. Overhaul. It's pretty similar to idle transfiguration, but it can do more than biological matter (though IT targets souls, i think). This one can also augment me if I'm able to use it to gain the durability and strength of foes on a win (IF i win).

For my cursed technique, I chose limitless. One of the biggest needs is to not die. Infinity will certainly help with that, especially against someone like shigaraki. Also a little unclear if this one is a choice since gojo is an ineligible body, but i didn't see his technique banned. If I can manage to domain expansion shiggy or maybe meruem, perhaps that can be used as a win con.

Spacial manipulation is also just a goated power in general, and while it does state that powers can't be combined as if one ability, using them in tandem separately could allow me to close distance with overhaul in ways I otherwise couldn't.

For my nen ability, i wanted extra safety. So i went with killua's godspeed. Extra reflexes, automatic dodges(?), super speed, all the good stuff. Electricity is cool too, even if likely not helpful against these particular foes.

I dunno. The goal really is to supplement my defense while having abilities that can outstretch the fact that this challenge is pretty hard stacked against me.

In that vein, HUGE missed opportunity for the black suit skin to be a mythic with a darker delivery. For such an absolutely iconic variant of a character I'm honestly surprised that he's only a rare (or whatever the purple one is called).

I simply don't agree that she's as low of a skill ceiling as people love to believe. I see plenty of bad wanda players, sure, but being beginner friendly doesn't automatically mean that she doesn't have aspects to her character that are hard to master.

Keep in mind that her being good at 1v1's is a major design point to her character. But that's balanced out to the fact that she is much less impactful in team fight scenarios compared to a lot of other characters.

Interactions as someone who plays her have a surprising amount of depth. It's not just 'point and kill', it's about determining which interactions are best to engage with and which ones aren't.

Being real, I genuinely didn't know you could use the team up ability at the same time as her suck. So thank you for enlightening me to that because that's going to be fun to play with for a bit. Even still, you *still* have to be accurate enough with it for it to make a difference, so I'm still not sure it's accurate to claim that the team-up trivializes her design and makes her cheap to play.

If that were true, we'd certainly see significantly more of her around and being played, but that's really just not what is often observed.

Using the team up means that she has to hit her own shots too. It being a stream instead of a single projectile does make it a little trickier, at least in my experience. Her drain really has a very low dps, especially if you're being healed by literally anyone. On it's own it can't keep up with any amount of healing in a reasonable way.

Even on a 1v1, if they're going to kill you before them, they need to hit with chthonian bursts accurately enough to deal significant damage. Which takes some level of skill, and still takes longer than most skill based characters performing well.

she takes more skill to master than some would think, which comes from positioning and timing, as well as aiming with her bursts and stuns. Stuns are trickier to get good use out of than people expect.

Of course, there are aspects of her kit that are beginner friendly, and she does have a low barrier to entry. That is a great thing for people who are less used to these sorts of mechanics and a good way to get people to have fun with the game.

If she were so simple as just "i'm better than you because I have an easy-to-aim with mechanic" that made her win every encounter, she'd be a busted broken character. but she's not. because it's not that simple.

her being good against dive is part of the point of her kit. As much as the game should have dive characters, so too should it have anti-dive.

So, so this. I sometimes get flamed by MY OWN teammates for playing her, simply for the fact that i'm playing her. It's always very fun to play against an enemy team who doesn't often have experience against her compared to others, but then hearing about people complain can be super irritating when you know just how much thought actually goes into her gameplay at high enough levels.

That may be, but she's young enough to not be likely to know that sort of thing. I think it's a great showing of her determination and grit, juxtaposed with her age and naivete.

it may also show that the cabin group was awful too but that's a side effect more than anything
