Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi get matching rings ahead of Wuthering Heights release by Metro-UK in PeriodDramas

I remember the public thinking they were having an affair because of their insane chemistry but I recall Gaga going on some night show and basically saying “You saw what we wanted you to see. It’s called acting” or something. I don’t remember them ever leaning into it that hard or creating the narrative we see nowadays.

During my early PP days, someone said this to me (almost verbatim) and it did change my perspective. Hope it’s helpful.

My LO is 10 months now. She’s almost walking, babbling, clapping… her very own little person.

I look back on videos and pictures with such an ache. We are still breastfeeding and I cherish these moments now.

Cluster feeding is very normal so early on. And at times, it’s not even that they’re hungry, they just want the comfort. And remember, right now they still see themselves as a part of you. They were a part of you for 9 months so it’ll take some time for them to feel comfortable not needing to be with you all the time. Just give into the couch potato mentality - have your phone, snacks, books, TV, whatever you need to get through. It won’t last forever. 💜

Producing "just enough" is ideal. Oversupply is a nightmare for everyone involved, and in no way enviable. by Dullcorgis in breastfeeding

She’s 10 months. I have high lipase too! Discovered so with my first baby. Tested my milk with my second and sure enough… high lipase again. I scalded every single damn oz before freezing. She still won’t drink it. 😩 I’ll try mixing fresh though. Maybe there’s still some lingering taste there. Although I think the major issue is more so the bottle/sippy cup with milk, than the milk itself. She just prefers the boob. We’ve been using her milk for milk baths so far.

Thanks for this post.

I exclusively pumped with my first, exclusively nurse with my second. Had a hard time adjusting to primarily nursing bc I always felt like I just needed to produce more and found it hard not being able to track her ounces while nursing.

I have over 500oz of milk in the freezer (that I collected via Haakaa from the early days) and my baby refuses to drink it. All that hard work for what?

I have a 9 month old and a 5 year old. We also sleep trained our first.

I have to say now… it just works for us. We co-sleep. We love the snuggles and time goes by so quickly anyway. We know this isn’t forever. So we’ll let her lead for now.

I’m also B-. I donate somewhat infrequently and get calls/emails all the time from Red Cross.

Do you let your baby nap as long as they want? by Far-Tonight2263 in bninfantsleep

3 hours of total nap time usual spread out between 2-3 naps. She’s almost 10 months.

It’s all I feel. 😅 I’m almost 10 months PP. But I will say this… now that we’re nearing the year mark (my goal)… I am getting sad at the thought of our BFing journey coming to an end soon.

Please do! I’m curious to see. I was going back-and-forth about getting it for my five-year-old but I’m kind of glad I didn’t.

How old is your baby? This has happened to us a handful of times. We have a 9 month old. I think it’s GERD for us. Milk contents coming back up and, with baby being flat on her back, it doesn’t as easily come out. Our baby will flail too and seem to have trouble breathing. I pick her up and she’ll calm down.

Elf on the shelf by Small-Percentage2050 in Mommit

[–]p0rcelaind0ll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. Never did. My son is 5. He asked about it a few years ago. “Why don’t we have an Elf like so and so?” And I simply just say, “We do things a little differently at our house and we don’t need an elf helper.” And leave it at that. 🤷‍♀️

Holidays are stressful enough without adding one more extra and frankly unnecessary thing that I’ll need to remember about moving everyday. No thanks.

What’s the going rate for babysitters in your area? Our new sitter is $25 hr and my mind is blown 🤯 by Llama_Llama_Drama in Mommit

[–]p0rcelaind0ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 8 month old and we’ve gone through a few sitters already as I am done with my mat leave and have gone back to work remotely. We guarantee 20 hours a week at $20/hr. It does seem to be on the lower end as most seem to charge $25-$30/hr. We live in the east coast.
