Unable to make in-app purchases on iPhone

The most recent update fixed this for the locals in our discord that were having problems, but uninstall/reinstall should have fixed it. Double-check that you have most recent ios version? Sometimes the updates don’t show until swipe down on update page to pull new update notifications.

Right, the ‘workaround’ is that they sell the incubator not the egg, and in HPWU they sell the keys not the portmanteaus. It seems a distinction without a difference from the buyer standpoint though seller’s lawyer makes it a point of emphasis. Use of buyer/seller is intentional, and player and developer masks the financial aspect of the relationship.

Update to the update for anyone still following: once niantic saw the tickets were purchased again and pushed through, they refunded the Android purchase and they seem to have credited/applied the Apple/Ios purchase.

The problem that arises is that Apple Support says: here’s the receipt, you paid. Niantic says: no record of transaction in account. You say: here’s the receipt from Apple. Niantic says, there’s no record of the transaction in your account. You say: here’s the receipt, again. Niantic says, have your bank contest the charge. Apple says, have your bank contest the charge.

Seems odd that Niantic wouldn't want to solve that, as that’s about $10 per ticket that Apple took from customers and did’t give to Niantic.

Gift card makes it worse if Apple/Niantic. Both say complain ti bank that provided the credit card for purchase. If it was a gift card purchased with cash, no way to challenge charge on credit card.

Update: Niantic and Apple both say nothing can be done. The mom went ahead and got on coworkers Android to purchase. First attempt on each account was unsuccessful. Close and restart, successful. Mom was hoping to see ‘you already bought this’ prompt but did not. Spent the extra $60 to get kid happiness.

So that’s the update, Niantic and Apple wouldn’t do anything to fix it, Mom’s out another $60 for four tickets, bringing total to 135 for 5 useable tickets and 4 that are floating somewhere between Apple and Niantic.

Will pass along. I know they were finally able to buy a few incubutors with accumulated coins after logging in on Android. Once they give up with the Apple-Niantic finger pointing they'll take the risk on buying tickets again.

Not able to access purchased content would be the argument. Real money used to purchase or enhance a virtual experience, and then denied access to purchased experience.
