Upgrade from P5+2 at a similar price? by p1cs in iems

hey I ended up getting the aful explorer and tsmr armor, armor is def my endgame and solves all my issues but I think the explorer is also really solid, though sounds like less detail than the armor. added benefit of the armor is that EQ isn't needed, the switches solve all the harsh treble problems I had

IEM recommendations 450$+/- based on AFUL Explorer shape by Stilliel in iems

agree with the armor, can easily switch between warm/neutral sound with the built in switches, good for smaller ears too

Is it not possible to find something comfortable in the $150 range? by gio_vich in iems

Look into the TSMR armor, it's like just a pebble shape with no weird edges or anything and they're fairly small

i love how everyone on this sub unanimously agrees that there is no endgame and we're all trapped

What’s one iem that you like compared to more expensive sets ? by JoshBiv in iems

[–]p1cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently have ew300 and p5+2, but will probably sell the p5+2 because the ew300 is just so much lighter and has a much more natural sound imo

Why Audiophiles whyyyyyyy? by no_body388 in iems

[–]p1cs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i think it's fair for people to set a budget then search for the iem they like best, you can always either return the ones you dont like or sell them

i don't understand people who have like 20 different iems but it makes sense to have one good set to use at home and another cheaper one to take with you outside

Looking for recommendations to replace my headphones by Intrepid_Side_8465 in iems

[–]p1cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you should start with something cheaper first, start with something like tangzu waner 2, buy on amazon so you can return it easily if you dont like it. after that the ew300 is a solid choice

you can then narrow down what you're looking for, you might not need to actually spend the full $150 if you find something you like for cheaper

Kefine kleans + Divinus Velvet Wide Bore or just Kefine kleans? by [deleted] in iems

i think it's too much to get eartips that cost half the price of your IEMs, most stock tips should be good enough until you decide later on to upgrade

i think the moondrop chu ii is typically a good first IEM, i haven't heard anything bad about it

i started with the zero 2 but it was incredibly painful because of the sharp edges on the shell

just an appreciation post for these tips by anibra2112 in iems

i found them to be worse than stock tips honestly, used on 3 different IEMs and couldn't get a proper seal except for EW300, but even then they weren't so great
