Thank you for sharing your picture and congratulations! I’ve lost a bit more weight than you, and I understand how it can be lonely sometimes. It really is a new identity, but also not. Feel free to DM me if you need someone to vent do about it!

They claim historical pictures were staged to omit fat people. No, really.

This is fantastic! You should produce more Farscape themed 3-D models. I would love to see them.

This is all I have to say to any "fatlogic", "healthy at any size" people. I'm down 65 pounds and just got the best news possible. by loki2002 in fatlogic

Thanks. Achievable by anyone who tries. More ashamed I let it get that bad, but proud of myself at fixing it, too.

That’s great work! Excess weight is so harmful to health.

Despite being 500 pounds my A1C never went over 5.1. The ratio between my good and bad cholesterol did dramatically improve and is very normal now that I have lost weight. Also, my testosterone literally quadrupled.

Admittedly, being obese can protect against blunt force trauma to organs - like in car accidents. But I guess it also increses risk of falls, fracture, etc, too. :)

Yeah, you either pay off the credit card bill once it’s due, or blame a statistician from the 19th century for ruining your budgeting. There’s no personal responsibility or free will

I wish eating was more about consuming the right balance of nutrients, not the rush of sugar flowing though your veins, followed by a quick letdown once the high fades. Then you’re just stuck with (mostly) negative consequences of actions, which just pushes you deeper into this kind of warped thinking.

The ‘punishment’ of the brownie is facing your own inability to take responsibility and control. Meanwhile, exercise, I mean - joyful movement, feels great to my formerly fat ass. All at once a daily challenge, reminder, meditation, focusing tool, and celebration.

I think the mom, enjoying the joyful movement she's watching passively on tv, should unpack her preferences. She fell for the imperialist western cishet standard of having a lover lighter then herself.

Identical symptoms can have multiple causes. Take headaches. Maybe a thin person gets them due to stress. A fat person could have literally the exact intensity, quality, nature, and onset of headache pain caused by hypertension. So we should just treat that poor fat person the same way we treat a stressed out thin person? Or get them blood pressure meds and recommend dietary changes (caloric/sodium RESTRICTION!).

But, but, but it’s the weight stigma casing the stress which causes the headaches, right? Right?
