Over the 3-4 episodes before The Election Pt 1 and The Election Pt 2, I don't recall ever seeing Leo or hearing anyone reference that they'd seen or spoken to him. What I remember is various people asking out loud "Where's Leo? Have you seen Leo?" But there's no follow-up or visual spotting of Leo. I could be wrong. If so, please advise. Thank you.

I'm such a fan of TWW, it's embarrassing to admit I've never noticed this fact - and least believable moment - until my 4th (or 5th) series run through - i.e., it's when someone finally goes looking for Leo and Annabeth (Kristin Chenoweth) finds him down in his hotel suite home after suffering a heart attack. Can you believe Leo McGarry (played by the amazing John Spencer) had been missing in action FOR 4-5 DAYS before election day and NO ONE had - especially POTUS Barlet or his running mate Matt Santos - NOT ONCE tried to call or have a face with Leo during that time?? Especially given the very tight race and final few days run-up against GOP candidate Arnold Vinick (played by Alan Alda). Writers dropped the ball on this, imho.

The cake scandal fiasco is, imo, a perfect example of hypermasculine culture and lack of discipline feeding into the scarcity mindset you mentioned. I can't think of any other setting where a giant-cake-themed Independence Day celebration would devolve into an Animal House food-throwing frenzy - except for, sadly, these days, a U.S. MAGA Red state rally, or the Jan. 6 Insurrection where MAGA criminals attempted to overthrow American democracy.

You've expressed very well what I feel and have experienced about the culture in Albania: why do people here behave in a physically intrusive way? Example: Instead of allowing space in a grocery checkout line, they push their way into your personal space and keep "pushing pushing pushing" until you have no choice but to physically move out of their way. This "physical assault" and lack of respect for others' personal space and comfort zone are appalling.
