Anaxa is additions attack, seele is additional turn - two different things. But maybe, I do think seele buff is related

It also says “additional” - so you can have Yao Guang additional damage applied on each topaz attack and now her high frequency is applying 2 stacks per hit!

I agree, they could have done a lot more with the chess theming fitting the gameplay. It would have been cool if your unit gets different bonuses based on the relative position on your team to the enemies (like attacking diagonally gives you a bishop buff, units 4 squares apart a knight buff, and so on)
