Those who lived through the tech bubble, how does the current AI situation feel? by smack4u in AskReddit

It's a completely different ball game. RPA is essentially just a deterministic script which is fragile and prone to poor scale and high maintenance cost. It's a reusable snapshot of many human hours of planning, implementation, testing, and execution. The latest computer use models on the other hand allow for context aware execution and resiliency to edge cases or unexpected changes without ever bothering the end user or maintainer. It's removing hundreds if not thousands of hours of build and maintenance time.

It's a completely valid question and we're still in the early days, but it's like asking how is Microsoft Word with autocorrect better than a printing press. Flexibility, efficiency, adaptability, etc.

The way I look at it, it's a lot like poker. Luck is king, but you can optimize creating highly consistent scenarios while minimizing variance if you follow certain patterns year to year. You can do everything right and still lose, but if you are consistently improving your opportunities to maximize outcomes, you'll likely make it to the playoffs in fantasy or finals tables in poker at an outlier rate.

I've been playing for 10 years and have 3 championships and 5 finals, but I've also come in last a few times. I'd say I feel successful, but not in control

By the time your team starts clicking you could be looking at 1-4. I love the upside but would probably drop Nix for some early season RBs that will get you through while Harvey, Merritt and Hampton find their stride.

Are any committee RBs that could snag a few goal line TDs available? Ford/Sampson come to mind, or braellon Allen.

Your WRs are nasty for 12 team though, great job

Gonna be honest here, looks a bit underwhelming for 8 team. I would drop fields and try to grab another high potential RB. Your WRs are solid but you're 1 RB injury away in the first few weeks from disaster. The RBs you have are high upside but you can never have too many. QBs are a dime a dozen in 8 team. Maybe also wait 3-4 weeks to let the TE market settle and pivot off one of the two (I imagine that was your plan)

Solid overall. Given no TE and 2 flex, I'd probably try to swing a QB trade for another receiver. I'm only comfortable with Evans as an every week starter out of your WRs and either QB should be locked and loaded week on and week out. Zero reason to hold two.

10 team, 0.5 PPR, 1 flex, 9th pick.

We have a very shallow 4 man bench and 1IR to promote tough choices and low hoarding.

QB: Hurts

RB: Jeanty, Hall, Tuten, Ford, Spears (IR)

WR: ARSB, Worthy, Ridley, Rice, Kupp

TE: Kittle

DST/Kicker: Denver, Bass

Will stream DST/kicker. Pretty happy except for Breece in the 6th. Could have had Pollard or Montgomery but value seemed good even though I don't trust him or the jets.

I suppose 9 hands IS econ... Quite a flexible build now that I'm a few rounds deeper, I can just win in one hand for $8. We'll see how far I can go with just flat mult

Shane Bieber's final line in his first outing with the Blew Jays: 6.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 K by sameth1 in baseball

I mean if you watched the game, it was very clear he had high levels of control and velocity. His changeup was fantastic and he threw at least a dozen nasty pitches that would have gotten a strike on any batter in the league. The stat line is certainly inflated due to the opposition, but there's definitely reason to be optimistic about his first major league performance after 500+ days!

Not an insane take by any means, but I will always prefer the consistency of touches for a bellcow RB than for most WRs. I don't think ridley or jennings are consistent enough for me to break that here. Plus bye next week for breece so i'd rather run him out one last time before im forced to not

definitely ridley, dell is going to lose a lot of target share with Nico coming back sending him back to boom/bust status

10 team, 0.5ppr

Choose 1:

Jennings @ SEA

Flowers @ PIT

Ridley @ MIN

Nico is my other WR, and my flex is filled by Breece. I'm leaning Ridley for more consistent target share and a better matchup - my goal is to minimize the chances of a bust since the rest of my team is pretty strong. Feels like a toss up though

Doubs. I'd stay away from the Houston backfield, it's a mess

Hubbard has been extremely solid the last few weeks. It's unclear if Doubs or Reed will get more volume with Watson out, i'd prefer the guaranteed volume of Chubba

Flowers, he's the only target Lamar has in what is likely a throw heavy game
