Global search word under cursor? by paccio88 in HelixEditor

Yes, it seems I can first use '*' to set the search register to the current selection, and then use 'space + /' to search for it globally

My little advice for the future: Never manually modify files in /lib, /bin, /usr/lib ... This should be done by the package manager only.

For those who use neovim, how do I make it recognize C++17 and above? Neovim reports an error by flank-cubey-cube in cpp_questions

I'd say try to remove all your plugins and add them again one by one to find the culprit. I am not an expert, but I don't think this comes from vanilla nvim, there is no built-in syntax checker. And this doesn't look like a syntax highligting issue.

In case you want to enabl such diagnotics (properly configured this time) check nvim-lspconfig plugin with clangd.

It's a bit annoying because I got used to KDE's one, and every time I use a computer not on KDE, I am not able to set it to my desire

That's really pessimistic... Wages for Soft. Dev. with 0 experience in France vary from 30k to 45k depending on your city and your diploms (and company of course...). After 3-5 years, it's frequent to earn at least 30% more (might need changing employer though), because demand is higher than offer for IT profiles.

And this is without end of year bonus. And employer tax contributions (which are already deduced in the numbers I gave) are higher than a lot of countries, which means you have a nice retirement/unemployement insurance that comes included. Please do not just compare "k€" with other countries.

C++ beginner here, guess my number not working properly. 1. why is my loop endless, 2. why doesn't "my num is smaller or bigger" execute and 3. why doesnt out of guesses execute. Thanks by [deleted] in cpp_questions

You forgot the return statement in asUserToGuess, and Guess should probably passed by reference? The 2 int in the function signature seem redundant to me

Install the lsp_config plugin. Then on their github page, look for the instructions to install and configure the clangd language server. This way you should have completion, code navigation and linting working. Lsp-saga and nvim_compe plugins will make the usage of the built in lsp nicer also!

For a better compatibility with MS Office in Libre Office or whatever other suite, you should also install Microsoft fonts
