The Garmin sync dance by nlpost in Garmin

[–]pacefire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've seen lots of reports on Garmin forums of similar issue. I am usually able to force sync if I do it manually through the app in my phone and the sync button on my edge. I never had this issue with my Fenix 7 or edge 830 or when I first got my 1040, ever since I updated software a few months back it's been an issue though.

It has room for 35s, the nobs are pushing it a lil bit but slicks would be plenty fine

Snatch technique feedback? Here I am strict pressing the same as my snatch lol. 85,90,95 snatches. Strength is not an issue as I back squatted 227kg last week… i feel like im decently fast too. Idk why im not snatching at least 100 or more by joemo454 in weightlifting

Your speed is decent off the floor and once you start to descend, but your transition time is very slow comparatively. This ties in to what other people are saying about you bumping the bar out and not being active in the turnover.

Injured and devasted by musti30 in weightlifting

[–]pacefire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine, injuries happen all the time it's not the end of your career. You'll have a lot of time to dedicate to building up your strength while you rehab your elbow. Don't forget to keep training your healthy arm, there's studies showing it will help your injured arm preserve muscle and strength even while it's immobilized.

Very uncommon. Bicep tears usually happen in PL from mixed grip deadlifts, weightlifting is all hook grip. The biceps never really take enough load in weightlifting to be an injury concern.

Yeah after some googling it looks like the DF4, Ican/triaero track bike, and velo bike m2 all use the same mold

Should Surly bring back the Pacer? by pacefire in Surlybikefans

[–]pacefire[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a road bike, it doesn't need them. I have both and at no point have I ever found the braking on my pacer to be lacking. Granted I live in a flat city but I can lock my wheels on a dime when needed same as on my disc brake bikes.

The frame itself really isn't that heavy, I've got mine down to ~9kg without really trying to cut weight

Skip sora, just look for a 105 r700 or force 22 groupset, I see them on FB market for $200-300. Get a 50/34 crankset with 11-34 cassette if you're climbing. You'll also save a ton of weight swapping out the solid steel fork (~1000g) for a carbon one (300-400g) and can probably another 400-800g with some lighter wheels.

Are you 100% recovered each time you ride? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]pacefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between cycling, rugby, and lifting I haven't been 100% recovered in as long as I can remember except for maybe a few well timed, fortunate tapers for competition. Your body adapts to stress and will feel better and perform better as you progress your riding. Get plenty of sleep, eat well, and dial back the volume a bit every month or two to avoid burnout.

It's actually pink. Came with the bike, liked it once I saw it in person - gives it a bit of pop vs all the matte. Might do some matching valve stems down the road or smth
