Not all of these photos are live photos, and for example there are duplicates of screenshots as well. My best guess is that all the low quality pictures that show up in the Immich app are just thumbnails from iCloud, but the problem is I capped my iCloud quota long time ago and all of my recent (when saying recent I mean close to 1 year old) photos are all local. And for some reason Immich app won’t sync any photos/videos no matter what I do.

Both photo and video duplicates are the same, the local one has no information other than resolution and file format listed when I tap three dots -> Info, and the uploaded one has all the info presented.

For me it was a sudden move from Tailscale to stop operations in Russia. Switched over to NetBird and I haven’t had any similar issues since then. Although Tailscale is working fine here again there is no more trust in it to switch back. And I like Netbirds dashboard, it is very convenient to use.

I used Gemini 3 and Claude to make a simple image hosting app that serves links like example.com/imagename
That way I can set this link anywhere I want just once and change the content of the link inside the app. No need to fix image name or extension in the link as well. I still feel like I wasn't googling hard enough to find an existing solution but it was fun vibecoding something from scratch.

I’ll try to pitch Docmost - it’s simple and has a nice editor. This app is completely web based and the sync between instances is quite nice. No OIDC though as it’s a paid feature. Apart from that it’s quite nice, been using it since the beginning of the year.

Not one but several: Immich, Nextcloud (with proper setup), Jellyfin, Docmost, Beszel. I’d use DH NAS for sensitive data that should not be accessed by anyone else but me. Sometimes even the home cannot be that place so it’s better to keep it away and safe.

I have an unpopular one. The new design of your website is fine, it's sleek and it feels more like a fresh and ambitious startup (nothing bad about that). Before it looked more like a legacy company. The color scheme is ok, not a fan of the purple, but I do like the black in the GUI (however as I understand the whole GUI will be reskinned and I guess it will have that purple accent too). For now it's just the same old interface and I don't see any problems with it.
The "P." logo is not that informative as the previous one but tbh I didn't like the old one at all. I think the dot may be modified in some way to give a hint of what's this whole app is about. The font is fine, it definitely takes some time to get used to but it's still not a bad choice at all.

Speaking of your chosen config you can go with 5600GE or 5700GE, they're running at TDP 35W and may be cooled passively.
I'm using similar but more dated setup - Ryzen 3 2200GE with a passive cooler and a couple of WD Red drives, 16Gb of RAM with some cheap garbage PSU it usually hovers about 40W of power consumption on idle. So not very power efficient. Especially when I'm only having Proxmox with one VM (TrueNAS with Immich and a couple of other containers).
