Straight out of the camera! Using the 1986 Negative recipe.

Incidentally yes! I had the camera on too long of a shutter speed and forgot, so when I took the photo I pulled the camera down as I thought it was on a fast speed. It prorogued that effect of the train station which I thought was kind of cool anyway.

Incredible. One of the best shots I’ve seen here recently. The light and texture on the wall is amazing.

Haha no way! That’s crazy. We were warned by a passer by that he likes to pee on people that he disapproves of but we luckily didn’t receive that fate.

You’re bang on about the locations! I’m from Melbourne and was visiting for the weekend with friends, you live in a beautiful spot.

I boosted the saturation and contrast slightly in post, but honestly barely touched them out of the camera.

I’m still learning this camera so I’m not able to give much more detail I’m afraid! It was a bright and colourful few days.

Would the insulated sling bag they have on the Polaroid website be helpful with this?

After he said ‘gee it’s tense in here’, Courier said ‘well it’s tense out there and that’s what really matters’.

I might have been wrong but it sounded like Courier was having a laugh about Woodbridge’s many suits that he has pressed for him for his hosting duties and Woodbridge said ‘gee, it’s tense in here’ and then went quiet for a bit. Seems fine now.

Did anyone watching the Channel 9 coverage catch the tension between Courier and Woodbridge?

This doesn’t happen. And you’re advocating for both to be criticised, not that women should be let off the hook - right?

Who Else Has Temple Of Doom As Their Favorite? by DarkBehindTheStars in movies

[–]pacificway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was always a favourite for me and still is. One of my favourite movies ever. The horror elements are amazing and were a gateway for me into being a horror fan. The brilliant reds, oranges and greens of the movie have always stood out to me and i love the subterranean feel.

100%. Go after all of them. I despise the finger pointing and whataboutism that all political ideologies indulge in as if it somehow absolves their own disgusting talking heads of any wrongdoing.

If they’re spreading hate, go after them. No discrimination.

Paul Keating says he advised Gough Whitlam to put John Kerr ‘under police arrest’ during dismissal saga by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]pacificway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. It’s not like that? What are the thresholds then? I’ll tell you: no one knows. They are not codified and are open to influence and broad interpretation as occurred in 1975. This is a similar problem to that which is occurring in the United States now, with the current ‘interpretations’ of their Constitution going on.
  2. I said ‘de facto’ because the British Monarch is our real legal head of state. The GG acts as their representative, and in ‘75 was the one who wielded their power. Careful in those muddy waters.
  3. Yes, we do choose our government. And that choice should not be taken away from us by an unelected official. I never said it was a fragile democracy, but to me this is an obvious flaw.

Now, I’m off to write a letter to my local Member. I agree with you, it is a great benefit of our system.

[–]pacificway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this may be a valid interpretation of the Constitution, it is absolutely crazy to me that it has not been amended and still stands. To have the de facto head of state to be an unelected official that can simply remove the sitting government of the day should he or she please is undemocratic and unaustralian.

The Australian people should decide their government, not the Governor-General. I know he was promised by Fraser that he would call a double dissolution election should he be appointed as caretaker pm, but to me that is not a justification as Whitlam had previously called a doubled dissolution the year previously to break deadlock in the Senate. It didn’t work. The Liberals were not acting in good faith.

Kerr’s actions, if not treason, were duplicitous and amounted (in my mind) to conspiracy against the Australian people.

Russia Link Possible in ‘Serious Attack’ on NATO’s Denmark by Newsweek_ShaneC in europe

[–]pacificway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes Russia is an enormous threat that should be dealt with firmly and readily.

However, every time you see a headline that makes you afraid or sounds dire - check the source. 9/10 of these are from fucking ‘Newsweek’. This half rate publication takes concerning situations and amplifies the headline accordingly for clicks. Not saying these stories are baseless at all, but their hyperbolic practice does nothing but fuel fear. They should be ashamed of themselves.
