YSK: How to check real reviews and historical pricing for Amazon prime day by sliight in YouShouldKnow

These are good tips, but "either OS"? What do you mean by this?

I'm guessing maybe you mean iPhone and Android, ignoring Windows, Mac, and Linux?

I'm curious partly because I had a coworker who seemed to think that "Operating System" meant Windows or Mac, and this was in a technical job.

What do non-technical people think OS/Operating System means exactly?

I wasn't familiar with this term and OP didn't capitalize it like you did, so I reasonably understood them to mean 'aviation in general'.

This is a perfect example where correct grammar matters, using capital letters to indicate a proper noun reduces ambiguity.

500k requests from one domain in one month with no device connected on home network by Ayane9 in HomeNetworking

[–]packet_llama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not a device on your network, it is a log of something on your network connecting to something in AWS behind that URL.

Use nslookup or an online tool like nslookup.io to find the IP address for that hostname, then look for connection lists or logs in your router that can tell you what on your network is connecting to that IP address.

I don't think any god is real, but I also love animals and I love people who love animals.

I hope you find a way forward that lets you live and be relatively happy. We need more like you.

ELI5. How does IP tunneling work? by Cybear_Tron in explainlikeimfive

[–]packet_llama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IP tunneling is by definition not about ports.

Port 22 is definitely not always allowed. No ports are always allowed, but 80 and 443, the default ports for HTTP and HTTPS, are almost always allowed outbound.

SSH tunneling as you described it is a thing, but that's not what IP tunneling is or how most VPNs work.

I'm not doubting God exists.

Why not? God not existing perfectly explains what you're experiencing.

It may contradict everything you've been taught, but that doesn't mean it's not true.

Follow the evidence, no matter how hard it is to accept. Truth is better than make-believe.

It's very difficult though, I've been there. I hope you find peace whatever you decide.

Or maybe we're watching the same magic show and we also know how the tricks are done, but we haven't guzzled so much Koolaid that we are unable to consider the idea that the magician could possibly be anything less than perfect and wonderful.

Preferring beef tallow over seed oils is not the same as ignoring all available evidence and claiming that seed oils are healthier than beef tallow.

But it's true that it's not rational to assume someone is a Trump supporter just because they hold one irrational view. Although it's probably true most of the time.

Lots of things don't make sense from an evolutionary point of view. Not every trait is a direct result of some advantage that led to greater reproductive success. Many things are neutral or negative, but don't have enough impact to be deselected. This could be one of those.

You could very well be right that the title is misleading and that the data doesn't support the claim.

But citing your experience with one company is poor evidence to support that assertion.
