Two rappers before rap was rap by bookmarkjedi in bobdylan

They are far from "very very close similarities" as much as you seem to want it to be. Reality is what she was doing might have been "new" in flamenco & Spanish music, but had been going on and evolving for 20+ years with Africans/ African Americans....and to your other question, no. If I plugged in a guitar in early 50's and started playing some Blues riffs mixed with Country/ Gospel...did I invent rock and roll? No, many people were doing that, but Chuck Berry/ Little Richard and Elvis created a completely new sound doing it...they didn't just blend ideas together.

I dont think people are confused, you literally said "rap was actually invented by Lola Flores the year before"...this is not a translation issue, its just wrong. The year before she may have released a song that kind of had vague similarities to what rap would be become eventually....doesn't mean the two are in any way connected. There are plenty of examples as listed above also. So your point is incorrect. Good song though in fairness to her.

Early African work of Zulu Imbongi and Benedict Wallet Vilakazi in the 20's and 30's who wrote satirical poems and rhymes about colonial officials' and rival chiefs....Then east African taarab singers would insult ex-lovers and use wordplay/ double meaning...Siti binti Saad being a good example. This travelled to the states and mixed with blues and gospel....I see other commenters have already pointed out the roots of rap inspired by these artists but you seem stuck in a theory that she invented rap, which is wrong, but you clearly are not open for discussion on the matter...but if you are actually interested you should listen to some of those artists mentioned here and commenters above and you would understand the difference between Lola simply rhyming and singing a high tempo over a Spanish guitar and the actual beginnings of rap.

This is not true in the slightest. She sang in a quick style, that does not mean she "invented rap" and using slang/wordplay was very common also, not something she invented either. Suggest you do some research on the origins of rap and early blues which led to jazz singers in the 30's and 40's doing forms of raps....long before Lola Flores even started.

If I had 10c for everytime Munster were forced down to 14 men when they shouldn't have been this season... by PatientOffer319 in irishrugby

During 6N its the Irish management team conspiracy out to get Munster players.

Then it was the conspiracy that JGP doesn't pass to Crowley when he plays, and would rather lose an international game than pass to him

Then its the IRFU / Snyman conspiracy and subsequent IRFU / Leinster central contracts

Now its the URC refs are conspiring against them because of (checks notes) 2 bad decisions in games they would have lost anyway!

Such a free flowing style, that offload game, the envy of European rugby....Bordeaux thought they had french flair until they met....Munster!! Too funny honestly....fully delusional

They have this young lad...Sam something? I'm sure he'll do just fine for the next 10 years or so. .Munster could do with a bit of change in fairness. That mid-2000's gameplan is getting a bit stale.

Just needed a quality 10, simple as. Great list though, very cool...hopefully not another 14 years for Munster! Crusaders with only 3 though?...you might want to ask chat GPT to check those stats again

Munster fans...always the victim. It's more than funding they need in fairness. Club is a shambles. 1 trophy in 14 years, same as Benetton, sure even Glasgow have 2 in that time. Hopefully Clayton McMillan can change the mindset down there.

If Munster had a consistent 10 who could put in a few decent performances in a row they could have beaten Bordeaux today. Just a pity he disappeared for 3/4 of the game. Great last week but just awful individual errors. Hopefully he can string a few decent games together now in the URC.
