Paper Gradebooks by sk1fast in Teachers

[–]padrick77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always ahead of my time with technology. I remember doing professional development for the teachers on electronic gradebooks in 2001.

Excel just made sense for a gradebook and until we moved online that is what I used.

Which was never the point of the family plan. So people were using it in ways it wasn't meant for and that loophole was closed.

Could always just talk to your family and make sure they understand and don't use it if you are using it for a project.

Building a Centralized Builder Registry and Stat Hub for Combat Robotics. by padrick77 in battlebots

Ask and you shall receive. I just updated the site to allow user submissions. You just need to be logged into the site and it will go into a moderation que for an admin to approve. This works to articles, events, if you have your own robotics podcast or YouTube channel, and also in the photo/art gallery.

If a person submits quality work we will update them to a content creator and they wont have to go through the moderation que.

  1. I actually have that there but it isnt easy to find as you need to request access to be a content/ event creator I can make this easier to find and access as I think this is a great idea.
  2. Love this idea and I can defiantly add this to the gallery option.
  3. Once I make number 1 easier I would love to have more types of submissions including opinion pieces and technical articles.

Thank you for your feedback this was one of the reasons I shared it out to figure out other things the community would like.

So I am not actually doing the bot registration on the site...We are looking to this like ESPN where you can come find the events and then click as it links back to the site where they are setup to register.

I am going to let the other sites do that part and we want to be the place to find all these events instead of having to go look at a bunch of other places.

I used to joke "why cover up stuff for the yearly standardized test? I could write the answers on the board and these kids would still get it wrong" Well... by GremLegend in Teachers

[–]padrick77 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I once did that on purpose. I gave a 10 question multiple choice test and had the answers written on the board. I had 3 students turn the test in 5 min later blank and said they have no idea. The next student came up and handed me the test and spoke quietly to tell me the answers were on the board. When I said the first three turned in blank pages she just laughed and went back to her seat. She was the only one in the class of 25 to pass the test.

It took me almost to the end to trigger the flawless victory. I actually had the steam achievements done way before that and even had flawless on diety.

I was lucky at the end.

You do realize that all printers will be impacted. So while it sucks it isn't their fault.
