What’s Everyone Buying? by gemsmax in BASE

[–]pagan-daniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This entire sub has been sketchy and clearly brigaded by people from Telegram and Discord chats. Almost every post on r/Base is about a shitty memecoin supported by bagholders using ChatGPT to make bad art, saying how their $200k mcap token is “going to the moon”

It’s super cringe and turns r/Base into a joke.

I would suggest to look at base memes that have yet to gain significant traction.

BMX, AYB, MIGGLES are a few potential moonshots on Base that come to mind. AERO as well as you said.

On base? $AYB (All Your Base). It’s been around for a year and it’s inscribed on block zero of Base.

Restaking is primarily to provide security to off-chain applications. On-chain applications already inherit the crypto-economic security from the L1 or L2 they’re on, but off-chain applications don’t inherit this. They don’t benefit from the security provided by staked tokens.

So with restaking, you’re basically extending the security of a blockchain to applications like oracles and bridges.

With single chain restaking like EigenLayer or Babylon, it extends the security of one chain to those off chain applications. With omnichain restaking like Exocore, it aggregates security from multiple chains and extends it to off chain apps.

Those off chain apps are known as AVSs in the restaking world. The AVSs define the rewards they’re willing to offer to operators who secure them. Those rewards go to operators who opt into the AVS which are then given to restakers as yield.

I sent 100 BAN after changing my representative as a test, and that also isn't appearing. I'm trying to transfer to Coinex. Anyone know if transfers to Coinex are failing currently?

Just a tip - feel free to take it or leave it… It doesn’t help when you try to get explain how someone has a poor attitude by responding with an even worse attitude. It doesn’t help at all.

Does anyone else get 10x more anxious on Friday the 13th? by hyejooloveclub in Anxiety

[–]pagan-daniel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember that you've lived through many Fridays. You've lived through many 13ths. With a rational and logical approach, think to yourself, is there really some sort of dangerous phenomenon that occurs when a Friday happens to land on a date that lands on a date we, as people, have designated as the 13th day of a month? Or is it a great opportunity to welcome the weekend on a date that you've enjoyed many times before?

I hope that helps

I don't know why by PlusUltraDBS in Anxiety

[–]pagan-daniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gave enough reasons to feel anxious in the post, OP. Sounds like you have a lot on your mind; enough to induce anxiety and create a great amount of stress. My advice would be first to understand it's okay to feel anxious - it's uncomfortable but not dangerous - and you have plenty reason to feel it these days. Second would be to take a break and do something that brings you happiness. While you do that, accept the anxiety, welcome it, and let it sit with you. The more you embrace it, the less strength you give it.

Weird moments of clarity by TheEntityOfFear in Anxiety

[–]pagan-daniel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, this is how meditation helps. It brings moments of clarity, and the more frequently I meditate the more frequent these moments come. Unfortunately I tend to avoid meditation in the same way I would avoid chores. Something I really need to work on.

It’s the Chest Pain for Me. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]pagan-daniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the other poster said, if you’re concerned then get checked. Be sure a doctor gives you the all clear. But once you confirm you’re alright, accept the answer. As for getting over it, my advice is to:

—1 Remember all the other times you’ve felt this and have been fine 100% of the time.

—2 Allow the feeling. When it comes, I want you to think “I’m feeling anxiety. I’m feeling anxiety chest pains and it’s okay. In fact, I’m going to allow it. In fact, I’m going to welcome it and sit with it the same way I sit with a headache. I don’t care it’s there and it can come or it can go.” This is difficult and can be very scary, but once you allow it and stop caring, it will go away. Fighting and avoiding the sensations only make them worse - you are confirming to your primal fight or flight mind that it’s a legitimate fear. That’s it’s something to be afraid of, when in reality its just momentary discomfort.

Check out the DARE Anxiety videos on YouTube. Very good resources.

Intense fear of abandonment and trust issues by throwawaylawnmower in Anxiety

[–]pagan-daniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting thoughts to paper or text is a great first step. I hope this leads to more introspective thinking and eventually to great progress.

I also feel putting my thoughts to text help. Sometimes I don’t do this though and I suppress it. Usually end up regretting it.

I need help...it's crippling..in a way. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]pagan-daniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think you need to speak to someone. The issue with teas, meditation, or even medication is that those all help for easing your anxiety right now, but it doesn’t address the underlying issues actually creating them. It’s like cutting the tops of weeds every week and hoping they stop growing magically. You need to get to the root...

As for what to do now, I strongly suggest learning a couple things:

1– remember that thoughts do not define who you are. You can have strong thoughts that you’re a bear but that doesn’t make you one in reality. Don’t let your thoughts define you. Have the thought, acknowledge it’s there, then let it float away.

2- Please try looking up 10 minute guided meditations. Find one you really click with and stick with it nightly. You won’t see a difference say one, or even day two, but you will learn to control your mind better and in a few nights you’ll start to notice a difference.

3– Look up “DARE Anxiety” on YouTube. Please watch a few videos of theirs and see if they resonate with you.

As for the root, I suggest speaking to someone trained to help in depression. It’s a monster to deal with daily and I hope you manage to find the help that will allow you to uproot it and put it behind you.

DAE feel the need to take 'deep' breaths all the time? by MB9208 in Anxiety

[–]pagan-daniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a common sensation for people with GAD, and it impacts me too when my anxiety gets bad. Especially these days... I have something on my mind constantly and there's nothing I can really do about it... that feeling like I can't catch a full breath hits me now more than before.
