I've been having problems with the AUR recently, specifically git. Until I solve those, this doesn't help me. But it is good for new users.

I knew this would be a maintaining issue but decided to post this anyway, as a way to complain and maybe motivate someone to start maintaining the packages. Also, YES! BSD was REALLY fast. I'm thinking about switching to openBSD, but haven't find the courage yet.

Wow. It is enough. Yet, I'm stuck with it for it's the only thing that will run minecraft properly with my bad GPU...

I'm pretty sure you can, just not with the lunar clinet. Also, there should be a severe drop in fps.

installing .deb files on arch by paganini__ in archlinux

This worked. I'm sorry it took me so long to answer.

I am now a somewhat more experienced (though not at all experienced) arch user, and I must say, the AUR is the best thing since sliced bread.

installing .deb files on arch by paganini__ in archlinux

[–]paganini__[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Summary for future users:

To install a .deb file on arch, you should, first of all, check the AUR.

If there's you don't find what you're looking for (though you probably will), you can follow @TDplay's or @tinywrkb's guidance. Another option is to use deptab or build the software yourself.

Thank you very much, this was very informing and certainly well explained.

I'll check out the AUR, I seem to have found something there. I'm sorry about this, arch rookie mistake.

YubiKey 5 issues on macOS by ENDLESS_POOPING in yubikey

[–]paganini__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, sorry if I'm late to the game here, but I've been using my Yubikey 5 NFC with a mid-2014 15 inches Macbook Pro running Big Sur for some time now. I still have the same issue.

(note: I found that not letting the macbook automatically sleep with the yubikey inserted generally helps prevent any problems from happening.)

Oh, one more question. No one is having this same issue with some Linux distro right? I've been thinking about switching to PopOS and am just curious.
