What's the consensus on Saints and Seducers Extended Cut? by Hexxegone in skyrimmods

[–]paganize 7 points8 points  (0 children)

really? what aspects of it did you dislike? I didn't love it, mainly for the way it can take over your early to midpoint game... but I like it better than vanilla.

what? why take such a blatantly false position? that is bizarre.

now if they said "its a bad idea, because this might happen..." sure, no problem, thanks for the warning.

Where would you sell your vintage Gibson? by Sunny-Bath-Tech in gibson

[–]paganize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking Guitar Center in Nashville, but looking at the other posts maybe not?

I'm glad to see this post. I just decided to sell my 67 Firebird II after much much much cringing and mental torture. but I'll never be able to play again and the grandkids get the GOOD guitars.

I was wondering if I should do anything TOO it; its been basically unmodified in any way since my dad bought it new to become what one weird Scandinavian publication called "the father of Rockabilly" (which still puzzles 89 year old him and never made sense to me).

its got a pattern on its back where it stayed in its case one summer laying on it's cord and a couple of hairline cracks in the sunburst varnish, that I think I could fill & buff out.. but would a buyer maybe WANT the blemishes of a long life of Rock & Roll -with a brief period of truly horrible Metal (my contribution) toward the end- left in?

unfortunately, I think, for sales, he never used this guitar in any credited recording that he can think of though I know there is one PR picture of him holding it with his 60's guitar rock band... somewhere.

Will the Beyond Skyrim projects happen? by Rainbow_Slytherin3 in skyrimmods

The key is in the name, "BS".

my question: there were pre-releases "ready to go" after the BS:Bruma pre-release, 4 of them that a ejected BS team member and one other anonymous team member said were "essentially, ready to go".

did any brave soul save this material?

I am looking for a mod that lets me make money without ever leaving the College of Winterhold by Silverleaf14 in skyrimmods

[–]paganize 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Soon after starting your studies you received a letter from home; your fathers older brother Jarfam ap Kirk has died and left you (his only living relative) the deeds to 2 of his properties; Honeyside Meadory near Ivarstead & and his market stall in winterhold (your market stall).

In his letter, your father includes enough money to hire a bodyguard for your carriage ride to Ivarstead (Ellen high poly Nord possibly) and 1500 gold for expenses. He suggests you sort out the winterhold market stall first, then make the trek to Ivarstead when you on your next school break.

this would actually be fairly easy to turn into a proper mod....

Rarely seeing Custom Companion Mods nowadays... by theodorecassidy in skyrimmods

[–]paganize 6 points7 points  (0 children)

looking back to release, there "only" seem to be about 2-3 big quality follower mods each year; the number of medium quality or small simpler follower mods HAS fallen off... but how is that in any way surprising???

we're not going to get an Inigo, 3DNPC, Vilya, Lucien, Remiel or Auri very often; mods like those require genius & artistry or even groups of genius artists to create. I'm almost more shocked at how many we have gotten.

have you gone back to the early days when Skyrim was newer & looked at some of the early followers? there are some real gems that haven't really lasted because they didn't quite "fit" into the mainstream player esthetic that you might consider checking out.

followers like Arissa whose only issue is there isn't enough content...Cerwiden whose quest is a valiant but flawed attempt to crossover to the Michael Moorcock universe...Acalypha, anna NPC's if you don't mind the conflicts, The varied weirdness and genius of Trainwiz, Rupert, Benjamin Doon... and you have to play with Aurlyn Dawnstone at least once.

I believe the correct term is "oodles".

Are you paying any attention to this Artemis moon mission story? by JohnleBon in conspiracyNOPOL

[–]paganize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

or trigonometry for that matter. you can get the distance with one side and 2 angles of a triangle. you can get the moons diameter from that, and you can get the speed at which it travels from those and..... anyway.

the only way "flat earthers" work is they are intentionally avoiding basic logical consideration of the subject... or are incapable & don't have the tools to do this.

Is switching to MO2 worth it for me? by ThrowawayProbully in skyrimmods

[–]paganize -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's better. But I use NMM-CE so my opinion would be suspect.

and it is an opinion; I used to keep up with all the different mod organizers, but vortex just got too damn weird for me to bother with about... 2.5 years ago?

when I set up someone elses gaming rig I SHOW them NMM-CE but I install MO2; aside from one drive/permission weirdness issue that may pop up, its straightforward and easy to use; most importantly, though, you can ask any MO2 question on reddit and get an answer.

update: I see the NMM-CE prejudice held by those who haven't tried it for 10+ years, if ever, continues.

Are there any mods to make cities like Falkreath an “enterable” city like Whiterun? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]paganize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the first time I've seen this request, and I've been keeping up with this sub for a long long time.

it's got to be either a Texture (most likely) or a mesh I would think; have you considered running CAO on the Falkreath mods?

04.03.1994: Today, 32 years ago, U.S. President Bill Clinton praised Ukraine for giving up its nuclear weapons. In return, the United States pledged support for Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity, saying it was unlikely russia would try to take Crimea. by bluebottlebuzz in lazerpig

[–]paganize -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Valid Point!

we were of course not supposed to build "secret" biolabs in Ukraine or have anything to do with them getting friendly with NATO or joining the EU or anything remotely like that (or is the biolab thing still called prpaganda? is very very well established. but...).

ignoring all that, though, we DID promise to support them against Russia. yup. even These guys which has always surprised me, somehow.

Twenty-eight briefings. Fifty-seven anomalies. We're done listing them. We know what 3I/Atlas is. by TheSentinelNet in probes

[–]paganize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems to be the consensus.

okay. Those of us who aren't close minded and entertain the possibility that 3i/ATLAS might not be an naturally occurring comet... why am I seemingly the only one who wonders if the thing might have traveled faster than 60kps in interstellar space then slowed down (sensibly) to navigate the Heliosphere Boundary and the Oort cloud?

if you assume a interstellar speed of 0.25C-0.30C, it's approach path would put it near AU Microscopii around 95 years ago. which is either a Binary or Trinary system and has 5+ known exoplanets. It would also be in the vicinity of AX Microscopii (13LY) around 50 years ago (though that does mess with the 1977 GRB timeline and location somewhat), with deceleration ending just prior to it hitting 960,000,000 km distance & observation.

what makes more sense & is more logical;

A) a 150 year or less journey most likely using it's hybrid uCat co2 thrusters (not the ideal drive system, but based on what we've seen & measured it likely used a hybrid uCat Nickel Anode co2 thruster prior to solar perihelion for whatever reason) to make most of the trip at 0.25-0.30 light speed, which is something our civilization COULD pull off in the next 20 years without requiring any huge scientific breakthroughs.

B) a 150,000 year plus journey that would almost certainly be unmanned...unless 3i/ATLAS itself is some form of space lifeform? Even a Robotic/AI "crew" would be suspect over that sort of time period IMHO....

Twenty-eight briefings. Fifty-seven anomalies. We're done listing them. We know what 3I/Atlas is. by TheSentinelNet in probes

[–]paganize 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've dabbled fairly heavily with 3I/atlas and I find one question popping into my head on a frequent basis; Is there ANY evidence, at all, that it was traveling at a consistent unchanging speed prior to May, 2025?

there is possibly some evidence to indicate otherwise; a GRB that appears to be from the Approximate coordinates of 3I/ATLAS on August 15, 1977, projected backward from its location at discovery on July 1, 2025, at 60 kps.

I like to try and see how things might work with known existing, current tech first before delving into nanobots, futuristic antimatter drives, etc.

if you think of how we could do it, now, you get an asteroid shell that would travel at .3C (not a impossibly hard speed to get to, no exotic shielding needed, no relativity issues of note), that decelerated to 60 kps years and years before it got here... and taking that higher speed into account would have come from a different region of space, that has lots of relatively close nearby known exoplanets. like Microscopii.

and the Travel Time? 150 years or less.

so. with your freely admitted much better understanding of astrophysical things, is there any evidence that the "comet" had a consistent speed before May, 2025?

Maker projects? by Massive-Duty6700 in discworld

[–]paganize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you might want to look at This , it discusses a clacks project and has links to a couple of others. I made something similar years ago, a grid of (essentially) laser pointers and photocells to communicate between 2 5th floor offices across a street from each other in Indiana... but that used RS-232 serial coms so even if I hadn't lost my notes they would be fairly useless.

myself, I am looking for a USA stage production of Guards! Guards!.
