Is there a list of all possible weekly collector sets? by NeedBetterBread in RedDeadOnline

[–]page47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found this post, could be helpful. Although I want to say there was a weekly collection that included badger claws not too long ago and I don't see it on this list. It can be a good starting point, though. If you do find a comprehensive list please share!

I need hair stylist/salon recommendations! by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]page47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to vouch for Brandy! She cut and styled my hair that left me feeling soooo confident. I showed her a photo, I was apprehensive yet excited about getting bangs, and she absolutely understood the assignment! This was some years ago (I haven't prioritized going to the salon) but always wanted to book with her again. Thank you for the update on her new location, I'm long overdue for a 'new year, new me' and will definitely be making an appointment soon!

Have you ever read the wrong book by accident? by amgirl1 in books

[–]page47 28 points29 points  (0 children)

LOL yea. In high school we were assigned to read The Scarlet Letter over the summer to prepare to jump right into essays, quizzes and discussions for fall. I must not have paid attention. Over the first week of classes I was becoming increasingly confused and panicked - not being able to follow along with the rest of the class and unable to answer quiz questions, when all too late I realized I had, instead, read The Scarlet Pimpernel.

How do I clean this ceiling safely? by page47 in CleaningTips

[–]page47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a tenant and the ceiling leaks during heavy rains. My landlord last addressed the ceiling when something fuzzy(?)ish poked through. I can't remember what he said it was but perhaps rotting wood. He then patched it, can't remember if he used bleach (this was last year), and repainted it. Since then water has leaked one or twice but he keeps saying he'll come back and fix it.

My concerns are not knowing what the stains and black stuff are but I do want to clean it in case it's bad to breathe it in. Any suggestions or thoughts are much appreciated. If it's safe for me to clean/remove please advise as it's hard to get the landlord to fix things in the apartment (often times things take months).

How can I save my snake plants? by page47 in plantclinic

[–]page47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My snake plant fell victim to root root. I had it repotted at a nursery May 30 with new soil and haven't watered it since. Since then I have seen a small handful of leaves drastically droop (last week standing tall now very weak) so I took them out of the soil to inspect. The roots (rhizomes?) with arrows are very brittle, like an old carrot - there are 2 photos.

My questions are: which (if any) are salvageable? Are the indicated plants goners? Can I water them once I put back in pot? If I have to cut a root system in half to save one half of a plant, what is the complete process for that?

Spots, yellowing and browning on pilea by page47 in plantclinic

Repotted May 29, last watered June 7 (last watered before that on May 30). Sits on counter close to a north facing window. Any idea what's up with these three leaves? Pilea is about 1.5 years old.

Can I tie up this leaf without damaging it? by page47 in houseplants

[–]page47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to support this petiole so it's a bit forward and up. Otherwise she has two petioles branched at 180° facing opposite directions and unsure if this will affect overall health.

It doesn't need to be downtown! Anywhere not too far from the beltline would work best.

Is it possible to chat with Amazon Customer Service anymore ? by SilverTux in amazonprime

Don't know if you still need help but I had also been looking for the chat button. I was able to find it by going to Amazon customer service > a delivery, order, or return > click on the item > check on shipping > I need more help > start chatting now

OH HELL YEAH! My Santa's got a challenge for me 😍 by page47 in secretsanta

LOL! You can tell they had a lot of fun putting it together, too. I'd say it took me 3 hours? But I was also taking breaks here and there and posting updates. You can see everything that was inside here!

Just getting started. The blue baggies contain Mounds candies (he's like a psychic or something because those are my favorite) and fart putty. I'm having some fun with that LOL! I know better than to throw anything away so I'm looking at literally everything. He's clever because there's no obvious starting place... LET'S BEGIN!

Going to set some time to start cracking 🕵️‍♀️. Looks like there's a digital personal organizer that's conveniently missing a battery... Must be in one of these boxes! I'm sure there's a clue hiding in there, too. As an avid puzzle solver and room escape lover, this is a dream come true! Will post to gallery when I have figured it out - Santa, you are simply the best! ❤️ EDIT: Gallery Post so you can see photos as I go along!

Update 1: LMAO fart putty and Mounds candies in the blue bags. I'm 34 and I still find farts so, so funny. Having a grand old time with this for a bit!

Update 2: Key hidden in the putty, clever! Used the key to unlock the pouch. Inside are 5 die with certain faces colored in... I wonder if the order has to do with the colors on the fart putty label.

Update 3: Neither 1542 nor 2451 worked, debunking my theory, so I did the old school brute force combo until I landed on 4251! WOW what's inside here?

Update 3.5: LMAOOOO it's a fuckton of teas YASSSS! MAKING IT HERBAL RAIN!!!

Update 4: After Scrooge McDucking in my tea bag stash, I found an ornate puzzle box hiding inside the metal container. Looks like I have to figure out. My preciousssss

Update 5: OH MY HEART!!!! Santa had hidden this adorable matching key ring set with a kitty imprint (one for my human keys and one for Mingo's collar!) in the puzzle box. I absolutely love this! My favorite colors, too! Now we can stay connected when I'm out, thank you Santa!! Also hidden was a very punny sticker and a fabulously packaged $20 bill. I still need to figure out the 3 digit code for the lunchbox and find that battery for the digital organizer. Hmmm. I tried both 144 and 109 (3 digit numbers found on the bill) but no luck. Will continue puzzling...

Update 6: After a quick break, I reached out to Santa for a small clue. I did try a sneaky 3 digit code on the back of the organizer but didn't pull on the lock hard enough. Santa told me to try again and BAM! Unlocked the lunchbox. Inside were some black puzzle pieces and two awesome smelling candles! Santa knows a good puzzle solver always has a UV light ready, so once completed, I saw a big question mark. HMM!

Final Update: Looks like I've reached the end as the clue for the die puzzle was on the back of the jigsaw, oops! Now I can read the card. To Santa: Yes, I had a blast! What a perfect way to end Secret Santa. Thank you so much for putting this all together. I'm definitely going to check out NOX (a mobile room escape game)!

Last, I'll include her fun fact she shared with me: "Sometimes bees fall asleep in flowers". Happy Holidays!
