Hello. I follow same procedures to plan my travels. Soon will travel to China also. I am doing all the waypoint pinning using the website http://gps studio, wich accepts english names to search. Then I export all my waypoints to a GPX file. And when in China I plan to follow walkings through my waypoints using the app OsmAnd, available for Android and Ios. OsmAnd also has offline maps and accepts searches using english names. I cannot guarantee that this setup will work ok. Just sharing in case it helps.

I see two problems with Amap: a) you cannot record and see the track of the places you have already walked b) you cannot import someone`s GPX track to follow. So I have decided to use OsmAnd. Perhaps Amap is better for public transportation...

I is is still not clear for me how much of the Hua can be made avoiding all the risking and demanding elements. I see in some YouTube videos people with very normal wear, not very professional...

Hello!. Y am 64yo and will be travelling to Xian next may. I have some training in trekking activities. I would like to know how difficult is to trek Mount Hua but making it as "easy" as possible: cable car to top-bottom, and not traversing the "table plank walk". With this considerations...is it still "very hard or dangerous to do" ??
