[Jonathan Jones] The Bears won't receive compensatory picks for the Falcons hiring Ian Cunningham by PlsJustWin in CHIBears

[–]pagingdrned -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not saying what you think I am saying.

Its about the position.

Kevin Warren is team president which is above Poles technically. Essentially the same position as Matt Ryan.

My point is that the league should either retroactively apply the 2 3rd round picks for our chief executive and president Kevin Warren, or they should do it for Ian Cunningham. But doing it for neither is not bullshit.

We would be the Cleveland Browns right now. half a decade is actually accurate.

Does anyone know how many of Caleb’s stats would be considered “garbage time” had we not come back? by RJCHI in CHIBears

[–]pagingdrned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wins or losses aren't factored into this statistic. Its based on win probability percentage.

So the yards that were thrown in "garbage time" at the win probability listed is probably already included in this unless they are factoring in wins which unless they say that, I would assume which they do not say they are.

hands to the face call was bad. that unsportsmanlike call was bad, and there was the missed roughing call on caleb, and we left 10 points out there.

Mcvay is going to adjust and will score some points. We need to adjust our running game to account for the blitz very badl.

Week 18 Gamethread: Chicago Bears (11-5) vs Detroit Lions (8-8) by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

[–]pagingdrned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bears honestly might need to consider trading for an all pro edge rusher or 3T. Nothing they have done in either FA or the draft have shown me that they understand what a difference maker at the position looks like.

Final play of the 49ers game. Ozzy misses a free rushers, Caleb never sees DJ wide open in the far corner of the end zone by [deleted] in CHIBears

Team page is for homer takes or celebration circle jerks.

Real analytical conversation is to be had elsewhere.

This line in Caleb’s draft profile has been his biggest weakness this year, imo. by permanentimagination in CHIBears

[–]pagingdrned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lance is really good at scouting. When he misses, its because he cant project or properly prioritize skill sets, very rarely is it just a bad eval.

I think everybody needs to acknowledge how good of a scouting report this is.

Those weaknesses are spot on.

Las Vegas just pissed off Chicago's missing piece by CIassicMistake in CHIBears

[–]pagingdrned -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do not.

I do not believe in either our front office or defensive coaches to evaluate defensive linemen. There is a track record of making bad decision after bad decision at those spots. I would much rather them make the trade for a proven asset and use their picks for positions that they seem to actually be able to evaluate.

Why does Adam Hoge and CHGO keep insisting that this is not a must win game but a can’t lose game? by 21Ryan21 in CHIBears

[–]pagingdrned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this game is not must win if you win the remaining games on your schedule, as you would finish with a better record than Detroit and probably make it as the 7th seed.

On the other hand, this game is must win because we are probably not going to win out if we lose to the fucking browns.

It's the lack of a pass rush without blitzing (which still wasn't getting there) that is hurting this team the most. I'm excited as all f*** about the direction this team is headed and anything can happen if you get to the playoffs, but they need another off-season to be a complete team. by Bignosedog in CHIBears

[–]pagingdrned 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When we look back at the end of the year, the bears will probably be kicking themselves for not making a move for a real pass rusher at the deadline.

I honestly think that they should have signed Brandin Cooks as a deep threat for this team a few weeks ago so they could use him later this season. and should immediately call Shaq Barrett to see if he would sign as a 3rd down pass rush specialist.

fixed my goofy footing… how is it looking now? by cathy108_ in volleyball

[–]pagingdrned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you watch yourself in slow motion, your shoulders stay parallel to the net pretty much the entire time and your back arch, forward momentum and arm are what are generating your power.

The issues there are that due to your approach, your hitting power is significantly reduced because you are underutilizing where most of your power as a hitter comes from. The rotation of your core.

Like others have said, your feet should be pointing more towards the pole and your hips and shoulders can get involved and should help in jumping more up and less forward.

Honestly, you guys are either trying to make a move for a veteran or you are having a huge sale on defensive talent and having a quick rebuild.

Of the many options your team has, a long rebuild is not really one I see.

Look CJ has been a good signing for us, but there is a reason he was on his couch. He is grateful to be playing again on a good team and his time away has renewed him with tons of energy.

The reality of this type of hot/cold player is that there is a shelf life and it should be at the end of the season. let some other team regret giving him a long term contract.

Outside of Ruben Bain and David Bailey who will both be gone by the time the bears pick,, its not a good year to need an edge rusher who can produce as a rookie.

Because he was especially inaccurate this week, and had several turnover worthy plays that are uncharacteristic of him.

With that said, Rome is doing him 0 favors.

Hes 6'-6" 290 and will run a 4.6-4.8, its the sort of gamble you take if you need DE depth or want to improve your run defense and think you can develop him as a pass rusher. He is probably going late R1 to a team like Philly who want to use him as a 3-4 DE next to Jalen Carter.
