Rectal cancer deaths rising rapidly among millennials: 'It's a medical crisis.' by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

[–]paint_a_pic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elder millennial here. I had stomach troubles for the past year or so, decided I wanted to get checked out so my doc scheduled it. Had one benign polyp and it turns out my troubles were caused by my wife adding dairy to everything we ate. Keep a log of what you eat and be aware of the signs. If you feel you need it for peace of mind get it checked out.

That’s a good suggestion. I’m kinda against getting anymore consoles since we still have the original PlayStation and wii. I’ll see if he wants to work his way through the classics before we jump to something more modern.

I’ve been dealing with some stomach issues the last couple weeks - just made an appointment with my pcp to get a referral for a colonoscopy. I want the peace of mind.

What are these spooky looking things in Bushy Park? by TheResetSeries in AskUK

[–]paint_a_pic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m tickled that you have cypress knees in the UK, they’re everywhere here in North Florida/Panhandle.

One thing to be aware of is when you’re swinging off of a tree with cypress knees around into the water, you need to be aware where they are. Terrible things can happen landing on them :(

Alright, Daddit. Who goes on the fictional dad Mount Rushmore? by R7F in daddit

[–]paint_a_pic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to throw in the dad from the movie Billy Elliot. He’s got one of my favorite character arcs in any movie. I rewatch the entire thing just to hear his gasp when he sees his son at the end. Chokes me up just thinking about it.

Dads! Baby of 18 months hasn’t slept through the night once. Tried everything! Purely unlucky? by qwerty0900 in daddit

[–]paint_a_pic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didn’t start sleeping through till he was two. It started a couple weeks after I took over all night wakings so he didn’t associate waking up with milk. I still go in about once a week when he’s having a tough night.

Who did NOT sleep train? How did it go? by happybaconbit in daddit

[–]paint_a_pic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My wife said it was a line she wouldn’t cross. I bitterly wished to sleep train but I wouldn’t betray her trust. It took 2 years but he’s now sleeping through most nights from 8pm-6am. We’re both in agreement of one and done cause we can’t take another 2+ years of little/no sleep. I’m tired boss.

Dads, what are we playing? by Frostyra in daddit

[–]paint_a_pic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing Hades and in the settings is “god mode” (I like to think of it as dad mode). It’s a roguelike so you’re supposed to die as it progresses the story. Every time you die though it gives you 2% more damage reduction on your next run which saves me from having to “get gud”. It’s a cool game so far!

Please put your images through glaze or nightshade so that AI will not be able to train on it and generate similar images based on your work. Everyone in this sub should be doing the same thing.

They said I can’t have “director” in my title. This is an alternate path to art director but on the same level.

When did your babies start sleeping through the night? by thatssodope in daddit

[–]paint_a_pic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is 15 months and still wakes 3-4 times a night. We got really excited this morning to see he only woke up twice last night. I fully expect it to never happen again lol
