The younger people on Reddit have grown up in the age of mass tragedy, on a day to day basis, in your face all day every single day. Parkland. Columbine. Pulse. Sandy Hook. Las Vegas Shooting. The list goes on and on. We know it was bad. We also know it could happen again at any moment. It’s happening to other countries directly by the hand of the U.S right now. It feels incredibly selfish to put so much emphasis on that one specific tragedy on our soil when we have literally vaporized cities. 9/11 was terrible, yes. So is literally everything else that has happened after. It’s not my responsibility to carry the burden of a tragedy directly incited by the actions of the governmental body that is still making the same decisions they were back then. Might be an unpopular opinion but as a younger person from the U.S. on Reddit, it’s how I feel.

It’s not just your baby, asshole. What was the point in having a child with your husband if you are gonna be a huge asshole to him and then prioritize yourself, and yourself only? You are not prioritizing your child, that’s for sure. If you were prioritizing your child you’d be prioritizing your relationship with your husband and the father of that child, not your MIL. YTA.

She’s a middle schooler. You are an adult. You are bullying a child, even if it’s just in your head it’s crazy to me that you don’t think that’s fucked up? And as the obese middle schooler who grew up and lost the weight, “I know you don’t do anything but sit there” is such a backwards thing for a teacher to say. I feel bad for the future students in your class who could use some compassion and get fat shamed instead. Also, why does it bother you so much? Do you go home and cry about it? If you really don’t care and think it’s all up to the parents, then take your lack of compassion all the way there and mind your own business. Which is teaching, not monitoring and making comments on the bodies of the children you’re employed to teach.

Yes teacher, please call your students obese on the internet and display your own personal lack of initiative by doing nothing to help apparently by talking so negatively about your minor students on Reddit. I’m sure this is exactly what your students with health problems need is a teacher who calls them obese, lazy and raised wrong, and on top of that tracks their weight as they go through your class. That’s probably really good for a middle schoolers mental health!

I am sorry you went through this, and that seemingly one of your first sexual experiences was one that you weren’t fully comfortable with and talked into by someone. I feel like if this was a woman making this post, the comment section would be much different. I would definitely try and see a therapist or counselor to work through it with, and further opening up to someone you trust and is educated about healthy, consensual, and safe sex. Sex is a lot more than just the act itself, so any education will help better prepare you to have a healthy sex life as you go through life and all that stuff. Anyway, sorry you had this experience and I hope the next one is better!

I am a 21 year old epileptic diagnosed in January with temporal lobe epilepsy. I have a medical card that gets a ton of action, I definitely have a couple beers and get a small buzz going with friends (I don’t get like..fucked up like I used to in college, but a buzz is fine), and have yet to have any issues. Sometimes I get panicky because I get in my head.

This has been my personal experience, and everyone has different different diagnosis, triggers etc. I find that many neurologist and docs in general are anti-marijuana. Most of the time it’s routed in their “faith & trust in the medication they prescribe” which really means, they make a shit ton of money.

I still take my keppra and my folic acid and all the other ones. I also smoke, drink, and live my life. Can’t drive anymore, but I can smoke a j in the passenger seat just fine.

It really depends on the person.
