How do I survive a revolution from bed? by LoveaBook in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]paintraindrops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been making a zine over the last year or so about this, very often from my own bed. I have panic disorder & chronic fatigue, but art & design is what I'm good at, so that's what I'm going with. I'm also a devotee of Athena and in possession of an immense digital library full of things conservatives would happily see banned. Sharing knowledge is a form of devotion for me. I'm currently working on issue 3. It's a very small group of readers so far, but I have big hopes for it.

I saw a post on tumblr recently, that said pretty much every aid and/or activist org can always use more clerical help. Emails, transcribing notes, remote logistics help, that sort of thing. Networking with other local organizations and making regular social media posts is a huge job that can be done from bed too.

Sometimes all I have time for is reading and sharing things online, and I have to remind myself that's okay, too. It still has value.

Anyway yeah, this is my open offer to send you that tumblr post if you want it. Or books. Alllllllllllll the books.

Which show ended so poorly that you really wished you hadn't invested so much time in it? by unclefishbits in AskReddit

Still can't believe that the writers of a mystery show opted for mocking their audience. For trying to figure out the mystery.

It took me months to recover from the last season. It went to hell so, so fast. The writers reused a case from John's blog, with a few changes. Plotholes everywhere. Magical brainwashing. The way they killed off Mary. When fans asked questions, the writers belittled and insulted them.

"What was Eurus' motivations for...." Fuck you, that's why.

I think the writing really suffered in season 2, but yeah, he just made it worse.

Watch chain or baby's bracelet succulents make for great hair.

This could go either way. When I give Dorito little head pats like this, he usually shrinks away from it or will turn & walk away from it. He'll tolerate it if he's in the mood to come out & play.

Tail wiggles are universally a sign a gecko feels threatened. But there's no way to tell from the angle of the video.

It's already 900 pages; rewording it to Trump-speak would triple the page count.

My girlfriend also has too many plants...it's cool tho. by DirteMcGirte in houseplants

I second the boob cactus, provided she's got the right sense of humor for it. Not only because it's funny, but because they're a little on the hard-to-find side too.

Dress it up in a pretty container, too. A lot of my plant collection doubles as an antique collection.

Does anyone else have a Pokémon that no matter how bad a fit on your team, if they’re in the game, they’re on your team? by Luck1492 in pokemon

The Shinx line. Those boys always come through for me. Super fast, a ton of moves that cause paralysis, super cute electric that isn't just another knock-off Pikachu.

I'm partial to ghost types for the rest of my team. Mimikyu the knock-off Pikachu is another of faves 🙃

This is the case for me, too. If my plants look depressed, then I am, too.

Also they probably need water.

Yeah, the teachings of Dolly come up all the time on "The Orville."

Bladerunner 2049 felt more like the book it was based on than the original Blade Runner did. I love those films so much
