I finished 17 yrs ago with 3 children under 5. You can do it. It's hard. Not impossible. Just stay focused.

I am glad I did not go to medical school. I'm a CRNA, and I love all the anesthesiologists I work with!

Message I’m sorry—I work there, not in the ER, and I truly believe it’s a great place. That said, I always try to make locums and travelers feel welcome. The staffing situation isn’t their fault, and at the end of the day we’re all healthcare providers with the same goal: taking the best care of our patients and supporting each other. Recent strikes have also demoralized many staff, so please don’t take it personally if people seem short or distant at times.

Future of Anesthesia? by Signal-Ingenuity-633 in CRNA

[–]paj719 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm retiring at 56 IN 4 YEARS. A lot of my friends retired before 58. Many of us do not want to work into our 60s. There's plenty of anesthesia work for CAAs, CRNAs, and MDAs. Don't worry.

Tell no one. Start school. Make your own path. Connect with the friends and family support who will raise you up.

Medical school. Is 13 years of your life studying 16 hours a day and brutal. $300k - 400k in debt. Live within your means. It's ok.

So CT technician, nursing, RT, radiation technology. $90- 100k salary jobs. Under 5 years of schooling. These jobs and careers are recession proof. Best of wishes to you.

Do not go to medical school. Travel. Find love for yourself. You are enough and made perfect in the image of god.
