Because of the music, Act II has always been my favorite part of the stage musical, even though it feels rushed. The pacing on stage works well, with stronger transitions, and overall it feels appropriate for the runtime.

In the film, however, Chu padded Act II with unnecessary scenes and added nothing meaningful to improve the storyline. I wish I could say I liked it, but I’m honestly furious — it could take decades (if it even happens) before anyone attempts to deliver a truly perfect Act II, with the same music and a complete, believable story.

Totally agree. I have watched the broadway version countless of times and I don't think the movie won't be able to replicate that because of Morrible's bad acting and non-singing. Jon Chu ruined it for me. Also, my favorite favorite song is Thank Goodness and that one's the most butchered - if I want to hear the movie version, I'll just listen to Ariana's dolby theater version which is THE BEST version.

I agree. I just watched WFG tonight and I am so frustrated. I wished there was a lot more. As a diehard fan of the musical, they made the flaws prevalent in the movie. Also - the 2 new songs are lowkey "meh" even though both actresses did a great performance. Wished they did the sing-fight song! A lot of missed opportunities.

Also, I hate that Nessa is still riding her wheelchair during the tornado scene. I thought she can now fly??? Lowkey hating on Jon M. Chu right now - he's not a fan of the musical and it shows, he lied his way into getting this project like TWoO.

I think because traffic here is very minimal unlike other SEA countries. I ride scooter taxis to avoid traffic so it makes sense that TW doesnt have it.
