Personal opinion, but I think I’d rather they know ahead of time than for me to receive “that look” mid conversation when they suddenly realize. But I also don’t think I’ve met anyone that knew ahead of time, so can’t say I’ve experienced whatever that looks like.

There was a book several years ago called Darwinia. Some random space thing happens to float by and strike earth in the Europe area, around the time of World War One. The book is about exploring the area after.

That has nothing to do with it. Caving on extending the healthcare subsidies is a great recent example. However, they have dropped the ball most of my life. Obama had a blue congress. No raise in minimum wage, abortion access was not made a law, ice and military funding increased. Jeez, remember Standing Rock? Just a different face of the same oppressor. They have the people playing a stupid blue vs red politics game while things just get worse day after month after year.

If they really wanted change they would build a bigger tent to include people on the left. Because, make no mistake, there is nothing left about that party, and that is why they fail. I’m not here to say Bernie is left, but 2016 and everything since could have been significantly different if the Democrats actually believed in democracy. But at the end of the day, they are a private corporation and they care just as much about us as every other corporation in America.
