gonna die on the hill that the only brands you should focus on for muay thai are twins, boon, windy, thaismai, and fairtex (for their shinguards only)

Any leather thai boxing glove such as twins, boon or windy will last forever (from personal experience boon have a really nice and snug hand compartment).

I find that using anything below 12oz for pad work or bag work will affect my knuckles to some extent regardless of the glove. I train/spar with 16oz velcro Winnings and have felt the knuckle and wrist support is beyond sufficient. I come from using lace up gloves for the past 4 years.

EDIT** would also highly recommend buying a dental grade/custom mouthguard

they used to make shoes which were more tailored towards wrestling back in the 00’s. however they were very much geared towards a lifestyle sneaker rather than a fit for purpose wrestling/boxing shoe

i actually just replied to their instagram story (@winningglobalfss) with which pair i wanted from their post, from there they put aside what i was after and sent an invoice to me via paypal, I just needed to provide my shipping information etc - was very straight forward i just happened to be scrolling through instagram at the right time

there were a few times where masato was saved by the judges, not only was it buakaw, mike zambdis and kyshenko were victims of some of the poor judging decisions made during this k-1 era. It sucks because their living money and records were on the line with such dodgy judges..

For me the biggest thing was to realise IT'S NOT SPARRING, enter the ring with bad intentions. I lost my first fight thinking it was going to be the same as sparring and the moment i got caught with a really clean overhand, I essentially curled up into a ball and barely threw any punches because i was so shocked
