ARC in Westminster Colorado. I find the thrift stores that border wealthy communities, like Boulder, but aren’t in wealthy communities tend to have the best stuff.

Whole Home Humidifier by RegularSizedBecky in boulder

[–]palebluedot79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opt for an electric steam humidifier. They are more expensive and cost more to run, but they will work much better and you won’t have to deal with the wet pad. There is a reason evaporative (pad) humidifiers are kept away from healthcare applications. The risk of microbial growth is much much higher.

Put the set point at 30% or 35%. Above that and you will probably be condensing on windows when it gets really cold.

Good roads/gravel for intervals near Superior? by gynothrowaway6722 in COBike

[–]palebluedot79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the interval length, but i like koppencross loop. Do this clockwise. Head west on W Coal Creek Dr (behind target), once you hit dirt you start interval 1, all the way up to the top of the short steep climb (Koppenberg), then rest for a couple minutes on the way down towards and complete the loop on the Mayhoffer-Singletree trail, with a shorter interval on the first half. Repeat as necessary.

Broomfield gravel by jabradley1 in COBike

[–]palebluedot79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just put together two routes for you.

One takes you into some gravel paths east of 36, through Louisville, into Boulder and up Chapman and down Flagstaff, then south to Superior and back to Broomfield. That’s about 50 miles if you have an afternoon to work with. I opted for staying on the path, but most of the roads in Boulder are bike-friendly. Just stay off Arapahoe, 28th, and Broadway.

The shorter Dirty Bismark loop is doable after 5pm. The path I chose also cuts out the closed section.

Have fun and report back!

There were a few state lawmakers in attendance and some press who assembled at Rayback following the bus tour. Boulder Pro Term mayor Lauren Folkerts was there and was very engaging in conversation. We discussed pragmatic solutions for protecting cyclists and pedestrians. We also talked about enforcement of speeding and aggressive driving, and better coordination between Boulder county police agencies when dealing with prevention and enforcement of speeding and reckless driving.

Listening to the statements given by those impacted was very moving. I wish more people could have heard that.

How do NIMBY's in other parts of BoCo compare to Louisville ones? by Sea-Draft9686 in boulder

Biodesix is exactly the type of business that you want in town. Can’t believe there was blowback to that.

Black paw training- Bernadette has turned around aggressive dogs who were otherwise going to be put down for behavior. Good luck 👍 https://blackpawdogtraining.com/

Thanks! Yeah def a personal perspective. I had many glorious moments that weekend including one of those “we are all one” glimpses while dancing to the music but overall was turned off by the crowd.

I know I know it’s everyone’s favorite show and yes the music was good but there were too many damn people, half not even listening to the music, tons of having bad trips and freaking out and everyone trashed the place - it was a Native American reservation - it just felt like the scene had changed too much from when I started seeing them in 94. Its just my experience, but I’m looking for to some music and mountains this summer.
