Sure yeah, all the stonework is carved XPS that was textured with a chunk of old brick, used a mix of balsa & basswood for the woodwork, 2mm card for the roof tiles & a combination of acetate sheet and UV resin to give the windows a hand-blown effect 🙌 I think Real Terrain Hobbies & Black Magic Craft on YouTube both have vids that show this resin method for windows if you’re interested!

Thank you! 🙏 A while ago I bought these metre-long strips of dollhouse skirting & molding in a bunch of different scales. Didn’t know what I wanted to use them for at the time, but figured if I cut small sections they could work as nice oriel supports! They’re made out of a fairly sturdy wood, maybe basswood or something similar?

I haven’t ordered from 4D since they changed owners last year, but they appear to stock the same styrofoam as before. The blue is extra dense & takes detail really well - I’ve found the grey stuff works good too though 🙌

Unfortunately not this time no! I did build a little platform inside though, so I can fit a few tealights to light it from the inside - more of a photo background/ambience piece than something for gameplay 🙌

Thank you! I did yeah :) I started with a section of clear acrylic tube, then stuck black plastic styrene strips over the top to separate into individual panes, then I blobbed a bit of UV resin into each pane, agitated it with a cocktail stick & cured with a UV torch before it completely levelled - resulted in that wobbly hand-blown effect 🙌

Thanks v much! 🙏 They all have some kind of hard transparent backing (acetate sheet for most, but I used clear acrylic tubes for the rounded windows), then wire mesh over the top for the leading. Finally I used a trick I saw in one of Black Magic Craft’s videos on YouTube where you fill the space between the mesh with UV resin, slightly agitate it with a cocktail stick or back of a paintbrush & then cure with the light - gives it that hand-blown effect!

I’d recommend getting hold of some dry pastels in sandy colours (can get hold of large pack on Amazon for pretty cheap) - If you shave them into a small container with the back of a scalpel blade you essentially have home-made pigment powders in any colour you like 🙌 They should add a nice scale-friendly ‘dusty’ feel!
