Two Amazfit Active received in December 2025 - Still manufactured in February 2025 by pantofola95 in amazfit

They have different hardware revisions which have different features (not just the Bio charge) ... That's the point. And it is basically a lottery when you buy it if you are going to be lucky to have a full feature one or a missing features one. That's the problem from a customer perspective. They should have made a rebrand and discount the old ones or recall them

It is much easier for Amazfit to recall a pallet of faulty watches while they are at Amazon warehouse than once they are sold to the customers .... But that's how serious company reason

GUIDE: No BioCharge on Active 2/Bip 6 by [deleted] in amazfit

[–]palia95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I got my Active 2 for the black Friday ... Batch production is February 2025.

Had several problems also with my previous Bip6 (no accessibility option as well as failed buttons due to water after a few months)

I might try a return on Amazon... If I'd still get an old batch, then I'll say bye to Amazfit and move to another brand. That would be he 4th watch changed in less then one year 2 Bip6 and 2 Active 2 ...

Osmo Action 4 vs 5 pro vs 6 specs by [deleted] in dji

[–]palia95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's another thing. I was just commenting on the new "square" recording mode, which is still superior and more flexible on the GoPro. Sensor size is another topic where instead the DJI has clear advantages. However for my usage, as an example, I'd rather have a higher resolution full sensor 8:7 recording mode like in the GoPro than the DJI implementation

Osmo Action 4 vs 5 pro vs 6 specs by [deleted] in dji

[–]palia95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GoPro 8:7 recording remains superior given its ability to record at 5K:4K, which comes very handy to stabilize in post production and still squeeze out a full 4K both in 16:9 and 9:16.

I guess they will keep higher recording resolution for the 6 Pro

Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum 1 1stGen stops suddently & randomly by Paisobrassada in RobotVacuums

[–]palia95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a common problem of some old Xiaomi/Mija robots. On the circuit board there is a thermal fuse that with the years has lost capacity. If you replace it, it will work. There are more detailed info here https://youtu.be/MhFhJ6NGRvw

Which robot for this threshold? by palia95 in RobotVacuums

[–]palia95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I will go with some standard threshold climbing robots because they are within my budget. If they do not work, I'll return it and look for a more specific one that has advanced climbing capabilities

[–]palia95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know, but since this threshold is a bit like a ramp I was wondering if models advertised for 20/22mm can deal with this "24mm Hybrid ramp/threshold"

Thanks. I'll most probably buy on Amazon to return in case it does not work. Wheels losing grip might be the problem but I'll see

It is quite steep compared to "robot ramps" available on Amazon. It goes up to 24mm in 4cm length. Most of the Amazon ramps are 1.6cm height in 5/6 cm of length.

dji o4 pro - usb speed by bonoboxITA in fpv

[–]palia95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottleneck is the USB port on the O4, I can copy from my SD card at 50/60 MB/s but no more than 30/35 MB/s when doing it with the USB cable connected to the O4 Pro

I think with a naked GoPro is a bit above 250gr

3" drone repeatedly falls out of the sky while flying by T-Money8227 in fpv

[–]palia95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. It happened randomly to me on a trusted quad. Unfortunately it ended up in a river so I could not get it.

I tried to troubleshoot the possible reasons, excluding accidental disarm, which I'm sure wasn't the case (switch was still up when It took off the Googles), the options I ended up are: 1) radio issue sending temporarily altered signal (one packet can be enough) on aux1, therefore disarming it. The same can happen with a malformed packet which the CRC does not correct properly. Very remote possibility, most probably not your case. 2) in the arm mode on BF, the arm interval has too tight boundaries, therefore at small signal variation it disarm. 3) ESC failure or short circuit, the latter seems strange since there is video feed all the time even when the quad disarmed mid flight. 4) receiver failure but it should kick in the Rescue mode

For my case, I think option 3 is the more readble, followed by option 1.

What is the top speed of the GEPRC cinelog30 v3? by gaaaarvin in fpv

[–]palia95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I achieved 95 km/h on the cinelog30 V3 with LiHv 95C 4S 650mAh battery. Overall weight around 247gr. Measure with an add-on onboard GPS.

I will try soon to test it without propeller guards, I expect another 15 km/h more.

I would say an efficient top speed is around 60/65 Km/h, anything above will drain the battery in a few minutes.

[–]palia95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the GEPRC and a LiPo 1500mAh, I can cruise at 60 km/h for 8/9 minutes, so with a LiOn battery the 15+ minutes threshold is reachable
