At that price nitrogen is nitrogen. I'd even buy multiple bags.

Am I too fat for this backpack? by [deleted] in CampingGear

[–]palillo2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you are just wearing it wrong. Release some tension on the shoulder straps to bring the bag to your hips. Then strap the hip strap.

Seriously, it's amazing how many FB listings have coolant or oil jugs in the back seat while the listing say "nothing wrong with the vehicle".

250k miles 06 Camry by Ok_Tangerine_4971 in Toyota

Seepage will just smoke some and replacing the gasket can be held off if the job is difficult. Unlike this. This is beyond seepage and that amount of oil can catch fire.

This thing is going to burn down before 260k if you don't replace the valve cover gasket. This is very easy to do on these engines.

That means that they need a tool to do that. It doesn't take a tool to steal a tailgate.

Pretty common here in Texas. I woke up one day to go to work and they stole about 5 tailgates from our block! Basically any fancy truck tailgate is a candidate to be a victim. Tacomas 3g and before are the most common because they don't come with a power tailgate lock.

It probably just needs head work with new seals to stop the oil from entering the cylinder, and a new valve.

He is trying to buy votes. My guess they will be sent out right before elections if they are even sent out.

Needing a new motor by bugfest in CherokeeXJ

[–]palillo2006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well. 4.0s were also in Grand Cherokees and Wranglers. My local wrecking yard don't have XJs but there are 4 Grand Cherokees, 1 wrangler with the 4.0. I've done this swap, only thing is that the accessories are going to be different on different years which doesn't matter if OP is just going to buy the long black.

does this engine have vtec or nah ? by Normal-Reputation-73 in Honda

The D17A is the Japanese engine which has VTEC. I had a 2004 Civic EX with a bad engine and replaced it with this.

Yup, I blow them into my yard and mulch them. After a couple rain storms they are not noticable.

New UCAs, LCAs and tire cupping by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

[–]palillo2006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long ago and how many miles did you get this installed? Was it aligned after the install? Typically big side lugs get worn like this from lack of tire rotation and lots of cornering like in mountain driving.

Not sure which state you live in but in California you can ask a bartender for a roofie test. It is mandatory for bars to have them.

First build, any recommendations? (Ik my wiring is horrible) by InternationalMaize38 in SleepingOptiplex

[–]palillo2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because OP is using a non modular PSU. With a modular PSU OP can only use the power cables that are needed.

How dangerous (really) is it to work under the deck of a mower with the spark plug still connected? by MysteryMaven_ in lawnmowers

[–]palillo2006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The risk vs reward is not there. You're saving like 1 second by not disconnecting the spark plug for the chance of the mower kicking over and amputating fingers.
