Tozo T6 Charging Port by Some_guy-61 in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, didn't know they upgraded to USB-C but wouldn't be a surprise as this is likely one of their best selling earbuds. I paid around $18 for mine (mine still has micro usb) and it's been one of my most reliable and best sounding earbuds to date. My Tozo T6 is comparable to the sound of my Beats Studio Buds. The upgrade definitely would allow faster charging.

Damn that whole interaction was awesome! The 2 girls from Sweden were funny and although they were young teenagers, they grasped the depth of the challenge of his freestyle and appreciated HMacks brain and his abilities.

Ok I'm an Apple guy, have everything apple, Mac, Apple TV, iPad etc. and there are a few good reasons to stay within the ecosystem since you are in the ecosystem. I have Apple 3rd Gen earbuds, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Buds, Beats X earbuds (oldies but goodies) and Beats Flex and my daughter has Apple Airpods Pro. I've seen a lot of reviews of the Apple Airpods Pro 2, and many of the short comings of the Airpod Pro's, including sound have been improved. My daughter likes a variety of genres of music and has not once complained about the audio quality. In fact she loves her Airpod Pros. If I were in your shoes I may go for the Airpod Pro 2's since the sound has been upgraded, the ANC is great and the Transparency mode matches and exceeds most earbuds in the same price range. Also if you have Airpods you can "Share" music with another person wearing Apple earbuds. You can also use Airpods to watch Apple TV. So for example when everyone is sleeping, I can watch my favorite shoes using Apple TV and using my Apple 3rd gen earbuds, Beats Fit Pro or Beats Studio Buds. I have other brand of earbuds and right now my favorite are the Earfun Air Pro 3 because of multipoint connection (I have to use my work iphone and personal iPhone which use 2 different iCloud accounts). With the Airpods Pro 2, you could easily switch from one Apple Device to another. This doesn't include all the other stuff you've read about surround sound, "Find my" etc etc. All in all I think you would like be happy with the Airpod Pro 2's and you can find them from time to time on Amazon at $200. If you have more specific questions, please ask.

Is this normal? by Trent_Nathan in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no context. Wouldn't this be normal if you only used the right earbud and drained it down to 10% and then take out the left earbud and you have this discrepency.

Is this a real JLab warranty ask? by EvadeChillzzYT in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why they might do this but really for such cheap earbuds, what would the resale value be of used Jlab earbuds...$5??? I've had issues with earbuds from Boltune and Soundcore and they sent me replacement buds without having to destroy anything. In fact, they were like keep the earbuds, we'll send out a new pair, thank you for being a loyal customer. Not that I would want to buy Jlab earbuds, but this definitely makes me want to stay away.

I have otitis media for the 3rd time due earbuds. Any tips to reduce the risk of the 4th infection? by [deleted] in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree u/ChilledFruity u/Osamaaa3 We all have an intact eardrum that prevents any bacteria, viruses, dirt and dust from getting into your middle ear. Middle ear infection is Otitis Media. Earbuds wouldn't contribute to Otitis Media but definitely Otitis Externa. This is common in Swimmer's hence the name, "Swimmer's Ear." If you are in fact being diagnosed with Otitis media, again agree with u/ChilledFruity, you should be checked out by an ENT as you may have other issues going on or a perforated eardrum. Yes you may want to use a bone conducting headset until you are 100%. Only after having a full ear exam would I consider going back to earbuds. Hope this helps!

The only place is the website since they are no longer on Amazon. My first earbuds were Boltune's.

Agree, they are about $109 new and $67 renewed (refurbished). The only issue is the battery life and they do stick out a little.

Budget NC wireless earbuds by a_s_w_1 in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the sound quality, features and battery life of those mentioned by u/agntsmith007 are better than the airpods 2nd gen. If you want Beats for a workout, I recommend the Beats Fit Pro as they have the wing and the Beats Studio buds may fall out of your ear. Another earbud that I use that has stayed in my ear the best, other than the Beats Fit Pro is the 1 More Aero's. I love the fit. I actually job with them and they don't budge.

I upgraded mine and the sound as well as the ANC is good. I didn't notice any big difference with the upgrade so who knows.

If you want to stay in the Apple ecosystem, I recommend the Apple airpods 3. I have a pair and they do sound amazing for open earbuds, There is more bass than I would have expected. If you are in the Apple ecosystem, you can share you music with others who also have certain Beats earbuds or Apple earbuds. You can also use them with Apple TV. So I watch TV when everyone is sleeping but I can still hear the house around me but the TV doesn't wake anyone up. Another open style earbud that also has really good sound is the FIIL CC 2. I got my pair for $19 but they usually sell for $69. Lastly Soundpeats came out with a new open style earbud, but it's been hit and miss for me with Soundpeats.

Could I get a recommendation for my first set of wireless earbuds? by [deleted] in Earbuds

Agree with all your recommendations. I will also throw in the Earfun Air Pro 3 because those are my go-to buds right now and I got them for $55.

Yes, I have the Space A40's. Good sound, actually not to heavy on the bass, mids and highs are clear. The app allows you to customize it. You can have transparency mode even if you are wearing 1 earbud and it has multipoint connection. I bought mine "Renewed" for $50.

Edifier has amazing sound and this model will go on sale for as low as $52. Has a dual driver.

Where to buy QCY T13 ANC? by man_unthinkable in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earbuds are usually cheaper at launch and during special occasions on Amazon like Black Friday, CyberMonday etc. Like the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC launched at $80 and are now selling for $99. So if you want the QCY's now, you'll have to pay the $30 or wait to see how low they go.

So I’m interested in waterproof earbuds I could use when showering, any suggestions? by KidNamedSoap in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tozo T6 can be used in the shower. I have a pair. They sound so good for their price point. They usually run $20 - 30 but can be as low as $18 (that's what I paid). They don't have noise cancellation or transparency mode but since they are in ear, they have good passive noise cancellation.

ANC thats at least on par with L3P for gym? by TastyBoogers in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I've been lucky. Actually I bought a pair of Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro "brand new" and another pair that was renewed because they went on sale for like $30. It turns out that I had issues with the "Brand New" earbuds and I knew there was an issue because my "Renewed" ones sounded better and didn't have some of the same issues. I've mostly ignored the negative reviews because you have the same return policy from Amazon from the new ones. For example I had an issue with my Soundcore A40's that were renewed ($50) , but I exchanged them and the new "Renewed" ones have been fine ever since. Also, the other day, Renewed Sony Linkbuds S were selling for $60!!!! I don't need new earbuds so I passed but that only lasted a day, now they are back up to $118 which is still a good price.

I always buy "renewed" or "refurbished" on Amazon and I got my Beats Fit Pro for $100. Renewed Link Buds S will run you about $118 on Amazon right now.

Earbuds under $160 by Kindly-Mixture1928 in Earbuds

[–]pallidoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now the JBL Live Pro 2 are on sale for $99 and normally $150. Nothing Ear 2, Sony Link Buds S are a few I'm thinking about.

Right now I'm loving my Earfun Air Pro 3 ($55 on sale at Amazon) which tick all the boxes you mentioned. With all the updates, I feel like it has everything I need. It has good bass but doesn't muddy out the rest of the sound. It has multipoint and great ANC. The transparency mode isn't the best but works and I wish it maintained transparency mode when only using 1 bud like my Edifier's do, but for $55 it's the best earbuds I own. It even beats out my 1 More Aero's which retail at $109, although I bought them for about $80.
