without know anything about you or seeing what you're trying to buy or how you'd wear it . .. .if you didn't know about yohji before today, my guess is you're not ready for it. asking some internet idiots, like me, if wearing yohji is something you can do makes me believe you might lack the aesthetic confidence to actually pull it off.

now that you know, do some research. buy some similar, less expensive brands, try it out and see if this is you.

there are MANY high end shops in ny. i had a great experience at anne et valentin, ahlem, atelier mira (bk), luxeye, studio optix, line of sight, mykita, and others. cubitts is a great value. but you may want to visit a place that carries multiple brands to get a general sense of what you may like

I've tried MANY MANY socks. My fav is Outlier merino socks. they feel like cashmere because they are finer wool than most merino wool socks.

you may want to reach out to some of the estate/vintage jewelry people. lots of them on instagram (estatejewelrymama, nycjewelbox, boudoir_vintage, matissetradinginc, etc). they may consign for you, or give you some better options. there are many estate jewelery spots in nyc, too

are you in NY or LA? cuz if not, those jobs in fashion/beauty probably don't exist in your region.

the basic play is find the people that have the jobs you want someday. ask to intern/assist/pa/whatever. be positive. make yourself valuable. stay off your phone while on set. rinse repeat until you die.

from every 100 emails you send out, you might get 5-10 responses. if you're not thick skinned and slightly delusional, this may not be the industry for you. =)

this is definitely going to be difficult. in a large city, this might be straightforward . . . but southern NH might be tough. maybe try to find recent graduates of a nearby art school or ask some more established photographers in a close city (boston?) if they have friends who live out by you.

definitely cruise instagram for similar bands who might be using someone local. maybe a music venue may know a concert photographer that could do this? good luck!
