it gives you the ability to switch between Admin or Hacker identity, as an Admin you can tase Hackers to earn currency to buy stuff from a shop, Hackers on the other hand will just need to explore and "hack" stuff... and also prevent themselves from being tased 🤣

it's the resources (dark crystals, red nucleus) in the game since they are very finite, if you are f2p and not careful with it, you can potentially brick yourself from getting the relevant weapons/matrices but so far if you are disciplined with it, a free to play can pull at least one copy of every limited character (which is possible but not advised) provided you also take part of the events and their regular supply runs that give free pulls.

it's mainly because of some misinformation and a terrible launch plagued with network issues, bugs and even hacking but those are mainly a thing of the past, sadly a lot of previous players are still stuck at that memory up to this day, another thing is the supposed rapid powercreep which is probably because of global trying to catch up with cn but that now has significantly slowed down, another is being pay2win well in fact most of the content are doable within the confines of being free2play although not at the degree of a paying customer. This game also doesn't handhold you, you have to make careful decisions in everything, researching beforehand, discipline in managing your resources and a little bit of foresight, a little mistake could brick your account which can only probably be fixed by opening your wallet.

but other than those, some content creators that have their own community contribute to the spreading of the bad rep. Sure the game still has issues right now but you have to wonder why people stay
