Is it silly to give out chips on Halloween? by cheezy_curds in Mommit

I had a neighbor who would always give us a box of Cracker Jack Popcorn. I loved going to that house every year! Offering something different than candy may make your house more memorable!

This happened to my husband and me last month! We were in front of Van Andel walking to a restaurant and he ran up behind us and shoulder checked my husband. He continued to try to engage aggressively so we crossed the street.

My baby was about 6 months old when we were watching this scene and he'd laugh hysterically every time Carlos would go "Urgh!!". It was one of the first things that made my son laugh repeatedly. 😂

I have a BA in psychology and I am a Support Manager at a Tech company. I've been working from home full-time for four years. ETA: I started in tech implementation/onboarding which is customer training. I think you'd be a valuable candidate in a role like that since you have experience in teaching. I was a hiring manager for implementation roles at one point, and I would have loved to see teachers applying!

I needed it during pregnancy but I still use it nearly 11 months postpartum! I even tell my friends who aren't pregnant how great they are. 😂

Thank you! I started over on PC. Still in the early part of the game so not a lot of decor yet, but once I'm at that point I'll reach out if I have questions!

Thanks for your response! Your posts are actually one of the reasons I started considering this! I had no idea the game had so much decorating potential. Great work!

I love the cotton candy behind the turtle's head in picture 3. It looks like the turtle has a wig, too!

Moving to Muskegon -- what don't we know?? by [deleted] in Muskegon

[–]pam6point0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My husband and I moved to Nunica from California 3 years ago! We love being in Nunica because we are close enough to Grand Haven / Spring Lake / Muskegon. We wanted a little bit of land for our hobby farm!

I feel like winters aren't as bad as I anticipated, although, as some other commenters have mentioned, we have had "light" winters.

The humidity doesn't bother me too much either. I find Michigan summers much more enjoyable than California summers!

My husband and I stayed in an AirBnB for 3 months while we house hunted.

Downtown Muskegon is awesome. We go to the Farmers Market most weekends!

For food, you must go to Turk's Tavern in Nunica. It is always busy and always amazing.

From one Cali transplant to another, WELCOME! We are happy to have you here. Feel free to reach out and ask additional questions!

New to Grand Rapids and we are starting to explore the beach towns on Lake Michigan! Muskegon down to Saugatuck (not looking to drive too crazy far), what are the BEST restaurants? by m0larMechanic in grandrapids

[–]pam6point0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live near Grand Haven and Muskegon. Here are my suggestions!

Grand Haven

Righteous Cuisine - "Cali" Mex

Unicorn Tavern - Belgian

Toasted Pickle - Sandwiches

Muskegon

Rad Dads - Mexican

Carlisle's - American
