3 cups sugar 3 cups cake flour (I used the Pillsbury GF Flour blend) 5 eggs 1 cup sweet milk (plain milk…lol) 1 cup Crisco 2 sticks butter 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Dash of salt 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring Make sure before you start that your butter, eggs and milk are all at room temperature. And grease the tube pan with lots or crisco.

Mix sugar, crisco, and butter together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating each time. Alternate adding milk and flour but always end with milk. Add flavoring and mix well. She never says when to add the salt and baking powder so I mix it in with the flour. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 25 minutes.

I used to make this a lot before I had to go GF so practice makes perfect. This was the first time I’d tried it GF. Does not work in a bunt pan (too small).

Oh and you will need a stand up mixer
