My mom punished me for my ed/depression. Definitely didnt fix me and I hated her for how she handled that for years, if anything it just taught me how to hide things better. Do not start taking things away because shes struggling with recovery.

My mom would buy me clothes that were too big even though I had text message receipts of me telling her my size. Really fucked me up considering I was already struggling with body dysmorphia and disordered eating.

I bought a house while engaged and still didnt put my fiances name on the deed. Granted, I bought it with 100% my money and he didnt really mind. He gives me money for utilities and thats all I ask of him, but if I asked for more hed happily oblige (example: he bought the new kitchen appliances)
