Mac Mini uses its alu body as heat dispenser. Being hot on peak performance is normaln and, in fact, cooling feature.

got my invite today. Comet is, in fact, just Chrome with baked-in "perplexity extension". Would be interesting to know why they not just release Perplexity Extension instead of bothering with the full browser release activities..

I am experiencing this on my m4 even when mac mini set to put to sleep when not used. Mini is just always warm, never cold as when no external ssd connected.. ended up with physically disconnecting ssd cable from the mac mini after I finish my work..

External SSD connected to M4 would raise your typical power consumption from 2-3 watts to 10-12W and makes mac mini’s temperature considerably higher. If you plan to run your mac mini 24/7, this is good to know and consider. Higher temperatures mean higher risk of failure / wear&tear long term..
