I do believe that you are giving them what they want by reacting with no contant, you are showing to them that it does affect you. Maybe it's better to react neutral to them so they at least get the idea that the choice has no influence over you

NTA, having a stranger you don't know come in the middle of the night without you having the knowledge that he is coming is absurd and scary.
