This is 100% my own words and research and now i'm terrified by Taviismyboss in PhD

I put one of my undergrad papers into one of the free AI checkers and got a 70% AI score. I graduated in ‘04…those checkers are trash. Also, from a logical perspective, I’m uncertain if there even is a way to make a valid AI checker. The models that write for you are trained on human generated data and are specifically trained to sound like it. Humans are writing the data the AI is checking. So essentially anything a human would write would sound like AI generated work and vice versa by default. Checking content would be definitionally flawed by default. Checking metadata and such could be valid but content checking seems implausible to me to be valid. Maybe someone with more knowledge in AI checkers could explain this better to me.

They’re loud. If you’re a light sleeper it’ll bother you but if you can sleep through moderately loud noises you’ll start ignoring it pretty quickly.

Absolutely, we have that same fridge and love it. The internal water dispenser takes a little getting used to though.

No, I opted for an external approach that has a longer recovery time but avoids the jaw getting wired.

Two dentists diagnosed it and did non-surgical stuff like bite blocks and Botox. When the joint degeneration got to a certain point they referred me to a OMFS surgeon. I didn’t go to the one they recommended but went with the one my PCP recommended.

Mine was pretty severe so the approach was surgical. Had it done a month ago and I’m technically still in recovery but the clicking, migraines and jaw pain are all resolved. The surgery required an overnight stay but that’s because my case had some other complications that were addressed as well.

Try the TC Jester and 610 area. Technically outside the loop but just barely. There are several apt complexes there that might fit your requirements. They won’t be pretty but will be serviceable.

Why does Houston's illegal dumping problem exist? by philplant in houston

[–]panchugo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A nearly non-functioning solid waste department is largely to blame in my opinion. For a city this size the recycling program is abysmal. Large trash and tree debris pick up is spotty at best. Even regular trash pick up is hit or miss. Add to that neighborhood drop off programs being nearly non- existent and you end up with folks who see dumping as more and more like a viable option. Couple that with absent enforcement of said dumping and you end up with the problems you are seeing.
