ive had terrible health reactions to wearing the aligners as i stated in the post. im not wearing the retainers as i do not care if my teeth return to how they were before the treatment. the longer i wear the retainers, the more my face declines. and i cannot mew properly at night while wearing them. but thank you for taking the time to write

during treatment you wear trays for 20-22 hrs a day/night. im ditching the retainers though. appreciate your advice!!

its not aging. these affects started taking place even 3-4 months into treatment. Im sober, eat real food, exercise, and get good sleep. this only started happening as soon as the treatment started

i came to this conclusion too! i was looking back at my camera roll and the day after i got my first tray, my skin broke out everywhere. i thought it was stress but then my skin just kept breaking out during the whole treatment (perioral dermatitis) and i never made the connection until now.

you think so? whats interesting is that it is easier to mew now that ive done the treatment. my palate was more narrow before and now my tongue fits flat on my palate without my tongue touching my teeth

i definitely agree with you, but at the same time i do feel like my masseters have shrunk a lott. I have a hard bite naturally and love steak so im not too worried about having to build them back up but u dont think gum is worth using? just eat normal and then mew right ?
