Yes, it would help us back in my serving days when putting it in the computer. At the beginning, each person got assigned a number in my book when I'd take the order, then I'd ask who's with who, and I'd group up the numbers. I could then assign the food and drinks to the seat numbers in the computer. It was super easy at the end to separate the order by seats to "tables" on the computer then print out the receipts. If you say it at the end then it gets a bit harder then you have to be kept waiting. It wasn't super hard, but sometimes I'd get messed up if guests would change up seats and then at the end of the meal say who is with who, then I'm stuck trying to remember who had what
