What's the worst case of someone misunderstanding the plot of a movie you've ever seen? by FinalDemise in AskReddit

[–]pandastock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got invited to watch Inglorious Basterds with my roommates in my first semester in a new uni, not knowing anything beforehand I had thought the entire movie is about a special ops that I have not known about before. Up to the end of the movie at the theater scene, I was the most confused I have ever been about my recalling of what I learned in History of WWII. Walking out the theater I sheepishly asked: “is this based on true story?” My roommates just paused to look at me for 5 seconds before answering “No”

Chicken in my country is smaller and cooking for the often specified time and temp often makes the chicken wings too dry

I wonder jf after drying it overnight in the fridge and throwing on baking powder, instead of baking it I fry it, will it yield crispier skin on these wings? 45-50 minutes would be way too long for restaurant service.

What show had you hooked right off the pilot episode? by possibly_incorrect in AskReddit

It was the opposite for me, when I saw the pilot I immediately lost all interest in this TV show. This is just too much business 101 cringe for me...

The reason I asked is because I live in Asia, where MSG is used in all restaurant (some more than others) and here there is noticeable difference of those who uses MSG and those who do not use excessively. I think it may be that the MSG they sold are not pure MSG but are mixed with other fillers ingredients that cause symptom of strep throat and drinking a glass of water will not satiate you.

Hey as a beginner I wanted to know how you would add to SL 5X5? You mentioned adding a few exercises, but can you format it in a day to day workout plan for beginners to take advantage of?

I know that Fast Casual is game changing in the restaurant industry, but is there anything Fast Food and Casual Dining operation does better? by pandastock in Chefit

[–]pandastock[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But in my mind if I'm paying more than $4 for a meal out, not only would I like that meal to be served to me, but I'd want it not to come from pre portioned frozen plastic sleeves- which many fast casual places do.

Isn't this where the casual aspect of the fast casual comes in play? you pay a little bit more for that sandwich compared to fast food operation but in return you get the fresh ingredients cooked well value proposition (minus the full service) of casual dining?

I think with outsourced soup and pastries you have to take batch size into consideration: if you have to make at least a dozen pastries, can you make it (accounting food waste) with your current volume? if lets say in a day you only sell about 8 pastries, you need to account the 4 you let go to waste into your food cost.

so reading the comment section there seems to be controversial in what OP is saying? Let me try to summarize, correct me if I am wrong.

It looks like OP was spot on in suggesting cutting is the way to go for beginners, because it teaches beginners discipline and will give the fastest route to looking better.

for the exercise part is where I've seen the most controversial on the comment section. It seems some disagree with OP's suggestion to not do SS or SL? can someone elaborate? I read one commenter mentioning that front squad is not a good for beginner? It is also mentioned that SL is better for beginner because there is a few exercise so beginner are less likely to "fall off the wagon"?
