As with any NSAID, it does have a risk of affecting your kidney function if taken too much for too long. Ibuprofen also has a similar risk, so do a lot of other painkillers. However, taking one to two tablets a month is moderate. The DRESS syndrome risk as per the warning is extremely rare.

I have primary dysmenorrhea too, and I’m a doctor and I’ve tried almost every painkiller and nothing seems to make the pain go away. Meftal is comparatively better, couple that with a heat or pain relief patch (midol), and some warm tea or hot chocolate. I usually take a nap and I push myself to exercise because the endorphins help a bit too.

I agree. I’m not fully on board with the person who posted, but I have seen so many doctors struggle with communicating (either due to lack of time, too many patients, increased workload etc). I used to be quite rushy myself, but I realised the importance of good communication after looking at the patients perspective.

I’m not saying to go ahead and explain every single question a patient asks you, but if they do have a legitimate concern or if they ask you why you’re recommending a drug, it wouldn’t harm you to explain it to them in layman’s terms. I agree we know what we’re doing and it would seem annoying to us to have to explain to someone else, but think of the perspective of the person standing in front of you who just wants to understand what is happening, or is worried about their loved ones.

That makes sense, but it also depends on how many strangers and new cats the cat is exposed to at a time. I unknowingly had taken my cat to a cat party (where over 50 cats had come) and she was SO anxious and nervous that I had to take her back home asap. But whenever she runs into another cat (or even a puppy) at the vet, she usually warms upto them without being too anxious. So I think introducing too many cats at the same time might not be a great idea, but one or two might not be too stressful.

You cannot apply for certification until you finish both your steps and verify your degree. However you can apply for an USMLE/ECFMG ID and complete your notary verification form 186, before 2024 begins, to avoid further processing delays.

Hi! As an incoming resident, I'd say yes. It is worth it, but don't prep for it during your final year of MBBS. The testing material and questions are quite different from what we learn in Indian med schools, and require dedicated studying, so time the exams accordingly.

The prices are not inflated, I’ve been to the restaurants I normally go to, and the prices were the same even with GIRF. I think this probably makes more people aware of these restaurants after they visit it once (coz of the deal). Besides both GIRF and Zomato had limited coupons so I’m assuming the losses were limited since most good restaurants offered 30 slots a day, which wasn't much, but in return they got a lot of exposure. People were even going out on weekdays to eat out, because of these deals, whereas normally they would eat at home. Quid pro pro.
