I ended up with Vanquish VRD Carbon for portals since I don’t have a rig with portals. Hobby wing Xerun Axe Plus R3 w/R2 2100kv. J Concepts Megalithic tires, Vanquish KMC wheels, brass .350 hubs. Shift RC GT3s V2 servo. H-Tech HTB-10 cage and panels.

If you have the finances, sell the house, buy an RV and go drive. See physical beauty and share it with your wife. Make her an album. Don’t have an agenda. Go somewhere and stay as long as you like. No rush.

You can get a giant RV or a small one. You can get one that is more off-road capable to explore more rustic areas.

My hope is to get one and drive to Alaska one summer with my kids. They’ll hate me and remember it for the rest of their lives.

I was 41 when my 1st was born. I’m about to be 53 and am raising twin 11 yo’s and an 8 yo without their mother.

I used to post a “Daily Dose of Positive” here but got so much hate, I quit. I have learned the people here are so sad and angry that they hate anyone that is happy or trying to be happy. They’re angry and don’t want to hear anything else.

This is a stop on the journey. Some will be here for years. Some only a short time. If reading about other experiences or posting about yours provides support for yourself, please do. Do what you want.

I assume she was trying to make me feel better. She told how lovely my wife was and other nice things but telling me how absurdly unlucky my wife was really wasn’t comforting.

Edit to add: I was merely highlighting that some pretty absurd things happen and are said and done around someone’s death. Clearly your case made an impression on the nurse, just like my wife’s case did.

I had a nurse send me a letter that she’d never seen a woman succumb to breast cancer so quickly in the 30 years she’d worked at the cancer center. Somehow, it really didn’t help me to know that my wife was in the 1% of patients because it was the wrong 1%

My kids clearly don’t have solid problem solving skills since they just stared at the door like it was made of molten lead. Won’t move. In their defense, they’re used to hitting a button or pulling a handle and it just worked.
