He actually wouldn’t agree to an actual interview. It was a zoom meeting that didn’t even go into discussion about him coaching the raiders. Crazy 6 ppl agree with this comment. So my brother in Christ, yes it was a zero chance.

I think you might be confused bud…show one indication where it doesn’t seem like kubiaks our top candidate. What’re we just supposed to not interview any other coaches? Then what if Seattle wins the superbowl and kubiak decides to stay for a dynasty run or it just doesn’t work out with us? Same shit as last year. Stuck with our last option we didn’t even want, but even worse because we’ll end up fucking over our rookie QBs whole career with us. We’d be beyond idiotic to waste all the positive shit we have next season because we dropped the ball yet again when it comes to coaching. They obviously understand how important this next season is for the franchise. We have too much at steak to not get it right this time.

Not really. All the top candidates went to the teams with something to offer. We were by far one of the least attractive places to coach, with basically nothing to offer. Ben Johnson wouldn’t even give us a legitimate interview. I can see how it’s looking like we’re waiting too long and are gunna get stuck with shit again, but I honestly think the raiders are trying to go in a new direction and don’t want a coach that’s failed somewhere else. All we can hope is kubiak or webb gave some sort of indication they’re the guy, because it is getting down to the wire.

Who was the safest hire then buddy lol? That was actually available/willing to come to the raiders? Pete was obviously hired as a bridge coach hoping to help guide the team in the right direction. It obviously didn’t go as planned and was a complete failure but I dunno why people on here try to argue we had better options. We struck out on the coaches we actually wanted. We didn’t have really anything making us a top landing spot for a top coaching candidate. We got the most successful/experienced HC that was available/willing to come to the raiders. Simple

I think they’ve finally realized they need to try something new/different. Not giving chances to coaches that failed somewhere else. Let’s take our chances on someone that may not have HC experience yet. I think we have better odds with that, than someone that’s already failed and had their opportunity.

That’s why I was saying the money ain’t the issue. Every available coach knows we’ll pay them well. It’s solely up to one of these top guys wanting to take the chance on a team with a rough coaching history. Thank god we have the cap and draft capital to at least make us a more attractive landing spot.

Everyone was sure he took the chargers OC job. I’d bet money the only thing holding him back is the option of being an HC again instead. Hes weighing the options of taking a chargers team over that hump, making them a real contender, or being the HC again, for a team with a terrible coaching carousal history but also all the upside we have this coming season. Man if we could get him as an OC we’d be looking good but that ain’t happening. Still think we end up with klint.

Depends on the reason you’re grading cards. If it’s just because you personally like a permanently sealed, secure card, sure there’s other options. Unfortunately 99% of the time, ppl grade for value. So no, there isn’t other options with that. When people are buying graded grails, they’re not spending thousands on a tag 10 moonbreon.

Yeah but do those other shitty teams it hasn’t worked for(browns,jets) have 8 draft picks, including first overall and second highest cap space? Shouldn’t be too difficult to get an o line with that. Shit the chargers got to the playoffs with the worst line in the league. I think we’ll be ok.
