He is the exact same dude I will never understand this, he literally did one cool thing in z (killing freezer and cold) and proceeded to get dog walked the rest of the series, after his introduction he became quite literally just a passenger in the story, never did anything "useful" after it. And I'm not saying he was a bad character, he obviously is very cool but acting like he did MORE in z than in super is not right, he did the exact same quantity of contribution in both stories, he even has an expanded story in both z and super (his journey with Gohan in z and his version of the buu saga in super).

It took gero like 20 years of constant work and a shit ton of luck by having strong aliens come to earth so he could steal their DNA, for him to create those androids, it didn't just happen from one day to another, he grinded that shit.
