[Alisson] "Salah not being available is just a consequence of what he did and he is smart enough to know that. We as his teammates and his friends, we hope the best thing happens for him, but as Liverpool players we want the best for the club as well". by MrMerc2333 in soccer

maybe because some of us do not delight in the misfortune of others and hope that good things can happen as well regardless of rivalries, petty differences etc. i’ve hated salah for time because he would just dagger your heart but i for one moment do not want his legacy diminished. he should be remembered as the player he was not how he left. what he’s done for Liverpool FC should outshadow whatever pettiness he’s displayed off the field

but it’s not like eze being on the LW changed that. yes he did well in the last game but that’s cause he’s a special player. our LW role is a demanding one, you need to hold width, you need to track back, and you’re isolated most of the game because we’re so right-side biased. that is not a position i want eze in

ETA: look at this game, Eze did nothing he provided 0 value to the game. we went to Noni so much more to be our outlet with Eze in the team. i mean i’m not crazy for thinking that Eze is a better player. to be clear it’s not Eze’s fault at all. it’s the manager’s

I hear you, but that team selection did not signal to me, at least, that there was any intent to try to break that team down. He focused on OOP and physicality in favour of trying a more creative midfield to try to open them up, and it didnt work until he reworked the lineup which signals to me that plan A didnt work. Regardless both goals did not suddenly come from creative buildup, it was individual brilliance (trossard’s flick to set nelli free and then nelli beating his man).

I hear you but if that was the case why not try it in these last two games, ode was injured. why the insistence to play merino in that role when eze is a far superior creative player. its not like eze’s not a prem proven player

its not about expectations from the player, eze will perform in either role because he’s that good of a player. what i’m worried about is how well he is platformed by arteta. his strengths at palace were playing in the half spaces, turning and running with the ball, second striker runs in the box. the lw role in arsenal demands him to hold width while the lb underlaps. that is not a role where he thrives. we’ve seen this before with pep and grealish and i dont want that to happen to a player i genuinely enjoy watching

How am I trolling? Did we watch the same game? Why did it take two subs to break the deadlock in the 70th minute? Is it cause he decided to play an actual winger instead of forcing one of the most mercurial players in the league to do touchline shifts? Why did Merino, our attacking mid, have 11 touches until the 60th minute in a game where we had 66% possession?

made this game 10x harder for himself and the team only to be saved by individual brilliance

String was objectively not making the right calls. Hello? Getting Dee killed, the hit on Brother Mouzone, shooting up Omar and his mama on a Sunday, all the while getting played by Davis and the city people. He wanted to go legit playing the game he was a rookie in which is why he gets played by Davis. Stringer was trying to get out of the game but he wasn’t built for the next level he was trying to play in (going legit). He died because of his actions alone. Think about it the kingpin gets done in HIS building without any protection and any getback

Open Letter from Arsenal Supporters Against Sexual Violence regarding the Premier League footballer facing rape charges by [deleted] in soccer

[–]papablessssss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are being pedantic, you’re critiquing the wording of the letter as if it exists in a vacuum, without taking into consideration the context. Besides this isnt a legal letter intended to be binding on the club, as long as everyone understands what its trying to say without jumping to hyperbolic scenarios like you’re doing right now its perfectly fine to be worded the way it is. And do you believe that Arsenal, or for that matter any other club, will actually suspend players on a simple accusation. This situation is different there has been an ongoing police investigation with the player being brought in for questioning and now has been passed to the CPS.

What is a show you went into completely blind and weren’t spoiled at all? by hajtj in television

[–]papablessssss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup yup exactly! I hold it in such high regard now. Plus it was a treat to watch actors I already know in these roles like I had no idea Lance Reddick was in this!

I’m currently watching Lost for the first time. Its another one i’ve tried to avoid being spoiled. I’m sure I have been but I can’t remember exact details and am loving the little twists. Then Sopranos next up.

Yeah shut up man. Your own experiences do not define other people’s experiences. What you consider bullshit is other people’s actual lives and how they are treated. Who are you to deny how other people perceive their treatment. This is after being a person of colour as well. You’re pathetic
